Pros: overall quaint inn. Great location, very walkable to Duval St, beaches and parks. Included off street parking. Included continental breakfast is time and cost saving. Staff is very attentive and washed the dirty seat covers for our room chairs when we pointed it out. Cons: could use the area carpet in the room replaced; it's very dirty. The doors and banisters need to be cleaned; dirty handprints everywhere.

Every time we had been to Key West ans walked by the Truman Annex we wondered how to stay there, so I waa so happy to find the Weatherstation Inn available! It is a beautiful place, vwey peaceful ans conveniently situated. Staff was friendly and helpful. We loved our stay

Beautiful building and in Truman annex. Walkable anywhere. Third floor massive staircase and bed need step ladder to board. Stayed her three times previously in first floor - that was excellent.

We do have housekeeping service, we just do it upon request. We have one housekeeper for the 8 room guesthouse. (4 rooms on the first floor and 4 rooms on the second floor). We are always happy to service your room. Just let us know! :-) If you arrived after hours this information is in the welcome letter if not we, let you know about this at check in. I do understatnd that there is a lot of information given to you and you may not have remembered this. You chose a standard queen room. We do have larger premium queen rooms also. If anyone has issues climbing the stairs they are encouraged to call the guesthouse direct to inquire about 1st floor accomodations.

The Weatherstation Inn is a beautiful hotel in Key West. It’s in a great location that was close to everything we wanted to see. The staff are beyond helpful and friendly and our room was great! The only complaint we had was the room wasn’t very dark at night for sleeping but that’s a very minor inconvenience.

Weatherstation was in a fabulous area - quiet but just minutes walk from Duval. Beach was also less than 15 minute walk away. Rooms were lovely but windows cannot be opened. Pool bottom looked like it could use a clean up. Breakfast was very carb heavy - more fruit or maybe some cheese would have been welcomed. Also, huge amount of garbage generated from breakfast - everything (cutlery, cups, plates etc) was disposable.

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Most times of the year the inn requires A/C to be running at all times. It's a rare occasion some one even wants the windows open. I'm happy you had comfortable weather while here. Thank you for the suggestions as well.

Downside: upstairs has outside staircase and it is very steep, only (1) chair in room, no coffee pot in room - its outside room in common area and you have to take cup back to the room to fill with water for each cup.

The Weather Station Inn was recommended to us from a friend. This was our first visit to Key West, so we were relying on recommendations from friends. When we arrived, it was nice to see that there was adequate parking for the guests. Then we saw our room and were blown away by the beauty of it. The bed was luxurious and the room very spacious. The amenities of the room did not disappoint. We especially loved that this Inn was located inside the Truman Annex and closed off to outsiders at night. The gates required our hotel key to enter back into the area after a certain time/dark. This added another measure of security and quiet from an otherwise loud, party town. Another benefit was that we were within walking distance of all the fun!! We highly recommend the Weather Station Inn and will stay here again.

Jen made us feel at home from the moment of arrival to… well… actually beyond departure when we ran into her on the street!! We made a great choice. Hidden in the Truman Annex, the place is conveniently off the beaten path but seconds away from Duval!

This is an outstanding inn, in a quiet but very convenient location. Easy walking distance to the heart of old town. Free, convenient parking. Rooms are spacious, with balconies. Quality mattresses and bedding. Staff is very cordial and helpful. I highly recommend.

The stairs to the second floor was too many. We were disappointed at not eating breakfast with others at this bed & breakfast. It was difficult to get breakfast to our room.

I am sorry you were not completely happy with your stay. Being a 112 year old building with 8 guest rooms the 4 upstairs do have a staircase to them. If guests are not able to do the stairs it is recommended to call the guesthouse directly to inquire about a first floor room. There is a 6 person dining table next to the pool for having your breakfast. If you didn't see it or were not told about it, my apologies. We hope you give us another try with this new information. Feel free to talk to the innkeeper with any questions while staying with us.

Beautifully calm Inn.
The Inn is a beautiful place in a very quiet area. It is super close to all the happenings of Duval St and Mallory Square, but you would never know it. We were upstairs and you have to climb 30 stairs out back to get to the 2nd floor (that was the biggest negative), however, the rooms upstairs have balconies (some shared) and you can sit out and enjoy the calmness. Also, be aware the Hot water is HOT! You barely have to turn it on or mix it with lots of cold, to get warm.

Could have been nicer.
Great location. Pretty neighborhood and quiet. Sink didn’t drain, had to ask for maintenance twice—once the evening we arrived and the following morning. Still didn’t get a late check out even though maintenance was in there all morning. One cleaner—couldn’t be in all the rooms at once so an extended morning should have been granted to us. Thank goodness there was a little pool since two of us couldn’t shower at the same time. Chlorine makes you clean, right?

I am sorry you were not completely pleased with your stay. We have just the 8 rooms and while my housekeeper is cleaning rooms I am stripping them and taking out the trash. Unfortunately, we are not able to grant late check out like a big resort. I do apologize.

Nice place, lovely stay. Shame they don’t do daily housecleaning as standard. Pool could do with more regular cleaning given the number of storms blowing leaves around. Breakfast was at Bistro 245 which was lovely.

Just make sure you check in and get your keys before 6pm as all of the gates, except the main entrance into he Truman complex, are closed and locked after 6.

We are very pleased you had a great time with us Michael!! For clarification, the manned gate at the main entrance (on Southard) is the only way to drive in and out of the Annex. It is open 24 hours. After you receive your keys you will have a key for all pedestrian gates as well.

Wonderful old house. Well taken care of. Our room was located right by the breakfast area and the back door and we were shocked at how quiet the room was. We heard nothing. The house is located in a quiet gated residential area and only two blocks away from all the shops and dining. My only complaint would be the bed is way too hard and I’m not sure how the ac would hold up to hotter weather. Neither of these things would prevent us from booking here again.

Charming Inn. Jennifer, the manager, was very kind, helpful and welcoming. Great location and easily walkable to Mallory Park and Duval St area. Guests have use of the Opal Resort as well as the WSI has a small pool onsite. Very safe area and gated. Highly recommend.
