The courtesy and care that we experienced during our stay in this charming, down to earth unpretentious hotel made our visit memorable. It’s a beautiful stylish place that echoed with the spirit of Europeans doing Grand Tours 150 years ago. There’s a lounge with books. Drinks are available. Happy hour is from 6:30-8:00. You can gather with other guests or not depending on your state of exhaustion after a day in Florence. It’s a green hotel in the best low key sense with several touches to save water and energy that will make everyone think twice about their environmental impact. The touches add to the experience of staying at the Hotel David - a thoughtful and welcoming place.

Well maintained but kept old building and room's charm. Helpful staff, all the amenities you will need. About 25 mins walk to downtown, or taxi, bus right outside the door.

Best breakfast we had our entire time in Italy. Absolutely fantastic. Our room was so quaint, comfy and clean. All the employees are kind and helpful. Not super close to historic Florence but we could easily walk to it in about 15 mins. A beautiful walk along the river so we didn’t mind it. The hotel was very safe and I would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved staying here! The staff was friendly and the hotel was so nice and cozy. Loved the aperitivo hour and getting to chat with other guests. If we ever come back we will definitely be staying here again! Just book it!

Hotel David is so fun!
First of all, the hotel is underated, steps from all the sites. Chiara is just the sweetest receptionist, very accommodating, and went out of her way to provide useful tips, looked forward to her friendly face in the morning. Super comfy room, cute, w/ good WiFi signal for work. Great breakfast, options galore, meticulous and very kind servers Jay & Marcela. Happy hour was always a social affair, lots of drinks and snacks, enough to fill you up. Cosimo would leave out drinks for anyone to polish off. 24 hr cappuccino, tea, water refill, soft drinks, beer. My husband & I had a blast. Wish we had more days at this hotel. Would definitely go back

Felt at home
We only stayed one night but I wish it had been more! Such a sweet hotel on the outskirts of town. We walked the whole time we were in florence, so we actually really liked this location. Quiet and lots of restaurants around the corner. Loved the complimentary happy hour idea! And the free teas and coffees available at all hours, as well as soft drinks, snacks… I mean, just such a lovely experience. No complaints.

This is a BEAUTIFUL property. I loved the ease of my stay. Breakfast is served each morning and happy hour each evening. Walking distance to the main attractions but far enough away to be out of the crowds. Very posh and peaceful.

Best hotel stay experience ever had anywhere. The premise is quite secured. I was able to park inside and felt safe even leaving stuff inside my car. The staff was super friendly and helpful; amazing customer service. The instructions at the check in was very clear for all you need. The rooms were pretty clean and well managed given that it is built in old building. The breakfast was pretty good and again the staff was available for any help. There was option of sitting outside on kind of terrace for fresh air. The stay included free water bottles and soda (not one but multiple) and happy hour with a drink (wine/beer) and snacks. The location is somewhat away from city center but is manageable by either walking or you have option of taking a bus (you can buy bus tickets at reception as well). I liked the location as it was away from commotion at the city center. Actually, the site for sunset is pretty close from here. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who want to stay few days in Florence; it will make your stay better by staying here. Believe me, I am real customer and not made up.

Wonderful stay!
Service was great. The happy hour was a nice added touch. Breakfast was very good . The access to filling up water bottles, get coffee, soda and beer anytime of day was really nice. Definitely would recommend!

We are leaving Italy tomorrow, after staying in a few hotels in different cities. The Hotel David was by far the best experience we had, and we had many good ones. This is a gem! What can I say except that we will come back to Firenze, mostly to stay agin in this nice hotel. All the perks, the elegance, the service. Don’t blink if you are considering.

What a wonderful experience! A beautiful historic accommodation, so charming, clean, and friendly. This hotel is absolutely wonderful! We stayed in a beautiful room with a balcony. The breakfast was great, the free cocktail hour with snacks was so much fun, and the staff was wonderful! It's located in a quiet area across the river, which we loved. It's about a 25 minute walk into the center of Florence. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel David. The entire staff was great - front desk, breakfast service, and the happy hour server. We were grateful that the hotel is away from the busiest sections of town, but it is within walking distance to almost everywhere. We loved exploring the area, liked the hotel, and really appreciate the friendly, helpful staff.
