"This was more than a hotel it was more of an experience. Even the name is unique, ‘VanHa Maamies Oy’*1 is not a name that easily rolls off the tongue. The resort – we found out later that it had been a residential agricultural college, with large dormitory buildings for males and females – comprised several other buildings all looking old and tired. "Overall, the room was good although there should be a tv in every room which we didnt have. It wasnt fair that some guests had a tv when we had to watch our phones. The toilet and shower were overall clean. The fridge and microwave in the room were a bonus however we have stayed here before and other rooms do not have this. It was quiet in the nights and the room temperature were always warm. Thank you again for a lovely stay in rovaniemi."

"To be honest this was the only hotel available at short notice. But it was clean and comfortable and good value for money. It was nice to be able to sit in the garden on a hot evening. It is a 15 minute walk to the big restaurants but it was quiet and the staff were friendly."
