Room Review
The staff were friendly and efficient, couldn't have been better. But the room itself, while wonderfully spacious, could've been heated better, especially the bath area. Taking a shower was a real act of courage.

Lovely and welcoming
Stayed one night as as was dropping off my daughter to uni. The owner, William was absolutely wonderful. So kind, welcoming and helpful. Gave us a great suggestion for where to have dinner and even offered to drive us! The Inn is only about a 10 minute drive to central Durham and is located in a very nice area. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay there again next time I'm in Durham.

We loved to stay at this place. William, the owner, was very kind and helpful. He even helped us to make our breakfast Vegan when we asked him if it was possible.The room was beautiful and cosy, with a kettle, a microwave, a very comfortable bed and a very clean en-suite bathroom. The breakfast was big and delicious. Excellent communication from the host. Literally 8 minutes by car from Durham town centre.

Lovely B&B - nice helpful owners.
We booked the B&B as we were attending a concert in Sunderland. The owners assisted with transport to and from the stadium which was very helpful and at a good price. They were really helpful. The room was clean and adequate for what we needed. The breakfast was ok - the only criticism would be the salad on the cooked breakfast, as far as I could see most people left it as it was an odd add and it was nice enough without. I think it was a presentation thing for them but unnecessary in my opinion.

Absolutely amazing. I booked this for my cousin and out 90 year old Aunt on their visit to Uk and their hometown from the USA. Booking was simple, and i contacted William the owner regarding their room and also some flowers for them upon their arrival. William said it would be his pleasure to provide these free of charge and asked me to email over a card to go with them, which he printed off and put both in their room on arrival. He also offered to pick them both up from the train station when they were travelling there from Liverpool. Once there, he took them to our different family members homes, into Durham, and to a family get together. Honestly he could not have done more. A menu for breakfast was given to fill in the night before and mt Aunt was delighted it said "Aunty Mary on it. Its just those personal touches that made their stay great. Also comfortable room, only thing my aunt says it could do with was a little sitting room for guests to sit in, but thats a minor thing. William and his wife have only had this B&B a few month's, and they are doing a great job. Thank you to them both.

Lovely B&B, seemingly under new ownership. Lovely spacious double room, comfy bed, with nice pillows and warm duvet. Extra heating provided (February visit) but not really necessary. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided, good breakfast

Great B&B!
Visiting Durham with son on university business & so know Durham well. Thus found this B&B ideally located, being about a 30 minute walk from centre. Right next to bus stop if can't manage walk, with frequent buses in/out of town. B&B very tastefully decorated, with homely, charming feel & en suite twin room very comfortable. Cooked breakfasts ample & beautifully prepared by host Martin. Parked on residential road to back of B&B & off main road, no problems finding space. Visited pub next door for quick drink, seemed quiet on night we went in & more of a local pub for locals feeling. Served food but didn't eat there so can't comment. Would happily stay at Moor End B&B again if visiting Durham in future.

Lovely b&b with Martin as a great host,even though on outskirts of Durham there is a bus stop outside also a pub next door,clean comfortable and friendly,and no noise even though on a main road and next to a pub,tasty breakfast with plenty of choice,great b&b.

clean and comfortable with good breakfast. nice large room. martin was welcoming and informative about durham and the area. was disappointed parking is now street parking, would like to have known this at the time of booking. but don't think this would stop a return visit. on the whole more than pleased with our stay.

Lovely bed and breakfast. Martin is a lovely host. Exceptional rooms. Pub next door provides an excellent evening meal. Transport great with bus stop across the road into city centre. Would recommend this as a great place to stay. well done Martin for looking after us so well.

HALH TERM BREAK
Easy to find except if you use Goggle Map. Rooms stylish and comfy. Very quiet with very little traffic noise even if it is next to a minor road junction.

We had a very enjoyable stay and will definitely return, the room was very clean and the bed lovely and comfortable. The room had an extra touch with a dish of mints and a chocolate each,on the bed.

Transport links into the centre of Durham were great - regular frequent buses from outside the door. pub next dooe does great food - just not on Mondays. B&B great, Martin was accessible, welcoming, helpful and served a great breakfast!

Enjoyed our stay. B&b is about 10 mins out of town and regular bus service. There is a pub next door that served excellent food. It's on quite a busy road but we were at the back so wasn't too noisy. Room was comfortable and spacious. Plenty of tea and coffee. Decaff was provided on request. Breakfast was good.

Good value . Homely. Worth the price we paid.
We wanted a place to stay near to Durham city centre. Moor End is just less than 2 miles from Durham . There was sufficient parking around the back of the house . Our car was safe there and we caught bus . Bus stops are very close to B&B . Just a 10 minute ride. We spent most of our time in the city.We only used MoorEnd to sleep for one night and have breakfast . Felt homely. Rooms very warm. Martin the proprietrer was helpful, friendly. We paid at lower price range compared to others but were not disappointed . Lovely breakfast . Would use again
