"Be aware of the area. The hotel is located in a very old run down part of town. Its safe enough once you get comfortable with the area. It is centrally located and walkable. They need to train their maids. The conditioner had shampoo and so did the shampoo container. The shower gel was broken and when I mentioned it they just said yes. "I very much enjoyed my stay at this wonderful hotel . The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff was impeccable and the breakfast was excellent ! Housekeeping made sure all your needs were met. The location was perfect. I took the Interbus from Catania Airport and got off at there last stop which was a short and easy walk ( with 2 pieces of luggage ) . Ortigia was also a short walk over the bridge to explore. Many walkable things to do in opposite direction as well....

"The property is located in a great location, very walkable. If you have a car to access the hotel you will need to enter a pedestrian zone the hotel will post validate your car to avoid fines. The staff is wonderful. Very attentive and kind staff. Not sure the property is a four star hotel. The rooms are very basic more like a college dorm. The hotel lacks comfort there is no sitting area other than the basic hotel room."

"The hotel is located at a good ocean facing location. However the hotel had not turned on the air conditioning yet so it was hot in the night. We opened the balcony door but there were mosquitoes came in the room and we couldn’t sleep because of that. I would suggest the hotel to turn on the AC as the area has lot of mosquitoes so keeping the windows/doors open in the night is not ideal."

"Ivana's B&B is in an excellent location. It is walking distance to the sites as well as great restaurants (and gelato!). Note that it is a B&B, but you are left to yourself once checked in. Ivana was great and helped me with free street parking, which can be a hassle if you're not local!"
