Walls are paper thin and you can hear the neighboring rooms conversation as if you’re in the same room. Great location and easy walk to everything. "Lovely stay at Yankee Peddler for two nights while we visited Newport. Easy check-in, cute rooms, front desk were very helpful in resolving our heating issue and on-hand to answer any questions we had. Continental breakfast was standard with cereal options, muffins/pastry, oatmeal and fruit (I'm there for the fruit) and available for a good duration. Rooms could use a new mattress and new sheets (getting a bit old). Can't beat the location as it's a short 4 min walk around the corner to the...

"Very well situated, right in the old part of Newtown. Quiet neighborhood and close to the busier streets. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Kindly let us stay past the check out hour. We didn’t get a room in the house we had reserved (not in Melville but in an adjacent house) and the room we got didn’t look like the pictures posted on line. It was a little poky but since we only wanted to use it to sleep in, it didn’t bother us much. "
