"The Ambre delivered on many fronts and its reputation lies very squarely on its staff. We had excellent service throughout our stay , lots of choice for meals, lots of sun beds (although there was the rush to secure them pretty early and then disappear off to other areas leaving a lack of the more popular ones) The biggest bug bear for us was the smokers around the pool. "Probably the best resort we've ever stayed at. The staff are exceptional, the food is excellent and the rooms are beautifully appointed. Comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms with a great shower. 5 restaurants all great. One oddity is that the Buffet restaurant is the most expensive of all of them for dinner which is crazy. It's not a cheap resortfor Mauritius but it's quality speaks for itself. Be aware there's nothing much close by but the resort has more than enough to keep you entertained."
