"First of all I was put not into Alif Laila but in another House Boat "Gulfaam". With very poor cleaning and service. It was a bad experience. No bills given for food bills, but charged."

"Staff were faultless, WiFi in hotel does not work, given dongle which was just OK. TV had no English movie or sports channels, breakfast was fine. Overall nowhere near 4 star standard and definitely would not stay here again. Better amenities in house boats for alot less money."

The hotel staff and manager are dishonest. they booked us a taxi to the airport early in the morning but when we stepped out to look for our taxi, we noticed another hotel guest getting in. They passed on our booking to someone else for more money. Didn't care if we made it to the airport. They will do anything for extra money. Not ethical, not trustworthy. I would have rated is as a good hotel option if not for the noise. The conversation from other floors is clearly audible (it's a bit of an echo chamber) and I was woken by loud talking at 5am.
