Staff was so nice and friendly check in was quick and easy. The AC in our room wasn't working and someone came up immediately with keys to a new room. Room and bathroom were small and the floors weren't the cleanest but overall there weren't any problems and I would probably stay there again.

Very nice staff! Room comfy and nice. Sink has cracks but no leaks. Some of lobby furniture outdated and worn. Nice food area but only had coffee as we left before 6 AM.

The outside parking area is very sketchy. After getting our room keys, we started walking down the hallway and metn2 prostitutes. The hallways were dirty and narrow. The maintenance man needsnto figure out how to patch up the holes, scuffs, and scratches on the wall. The carpet in the room was dirty and had a seam that was torn. The pictures for sure show a polished turd. The front desk lady actually made a comment about the cost of the room being high due to supply and demand. I am not sure why anyone would ever stay here. I would never suggest staying in this dump to anyone.

We are off to a bad start when the parking lot was absolutely jampacked, and there was not a single place for our car. Once inside, there was a Roccus party going on in the very small lobby. It was almost midnight. Apparently there was a large group staying at the hotel. We didn’t escape the party once we got to our room on the third floor. There were loud people roaming the hallways and partying from room to room. Once in our room, we used the toilet once, and it promptly clogged. The front desk person couldn’t access the plunger so we had to wait until the housekeeping person got back from driving the airport shuttle. I dropped something off the nightstand, and when I went to go pick it up between the bed and the nightstand, I found wrappers from the snacks of the previous guests. We’ve been here for 15 minutes and I’m already regretting it.

Great Hotel
My stay started out with a lovely shuttle bus driver who picked me up from the airport. The staff were very friendly and offered information on meals and offered to take me to a close restaurant. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was average, but hot and tasty. I'll be making several trips to Des Moines this year and will stay again at this Hampton!
