Awful staff. Walk in to check in, have 6 people waiting to get checked in. Had two people working and the gal after helping with one person grabs her stuff and head to sit outside. When there was another 5 people waiting. And then same thing in the morning for check out. Just annoying
The motel was pretty dumpy. The room closet was just a hole, the latch on the door was broken. Sink stopper missing. Free breakfast was lame. Grounds have trash around it.

This property is old, but it is well kept. It is clean and everything worked well. I would stay here again. The breakfast options are very limited.

$125 a night? More like 125 ants per night. Thankfully not as many roaches. The staff will arbitrarily pick a deposit and you can expect it to take 2 to 3 weeks to get it refunded
If you book through any online site and pay less than 100 per night the staff will repeatedly point out it is a 100 ant a night hotel, i mean $100 a night hotel

Was mostly quiet at night.
Location near I-70 for east access.
Almost everything was in working order.
Sam's Club gasoline roughly just one mile away from the property.
0 Shower: Will get hot water but temperature difficult to adjust. Diverter valve not fully working properly.
– No hair dryer provided.
– Floor not carpeted (some will consider this a plus).
– Very bright lights in rear of property a nuisance.

The listing for days inn windham west des Moines/ Clive stated they had a pool and description said it had a outdoor heated pool but there was NOT a pool of ANY kind on the property. The WHOLE reason we had made reservation at a hotel was so my kiddos could go swimming and not "break the bank" .

The place is good value if you’re looking for a minimalistic place that is inexpensive on your roadtrip. Our beds were very new and comfortable. The room was clean.

Its dirty, looks scary on the back side. You can tell its a long stay hotel that ran to the ground and the owners bought it and have tried to cheaply fix it up. The only warm breakfast options were waffles. There was mold in shower. Holes in the ceiling stuffed with paper. You could here the traffic from the interstate. To get to the back upper rooms you have to walk up outside steps and walk clear down and around. The bed is literally a mattress on metal bars. There was dog food all over our floor. Just gross!

tv would not turn on. contacted front desk and clerk came up and something happened and the tv worked-but couldn't adjust volume or shut it off. only when un- plugging the power cord would the tv go off and when plugged in again the tv would come on automatically. also the heater wouldn't shut off when room temperature reached the set temp.

Dirty grounds, cigarette butts and spit on side walks. There wasn't an alarm clock in the room. I booked the room for 2 days and they deactivated my room key after the first day. I had to go down to the front desk and get it fixed. Very inconvenient, due to having to leave my friend along with my shopping standing outside in the cold.
