The hotel is a little off the beaten track in that it is a little way from the centre. The Dom is a 25 minute walk away, the metro is a 10 minute walk (and then 5 minutes to the Dom). It is literally on the river, though a claim of a 'river view' from our room would be generous.
The hotel has no other eating or drinking facilities except for a good breakfast buffet, so if you want a cup of coffee, but one before you get back to the hotel. You do get a mini-bar. There is an offer of a sandwich via room service, but it didn’t look too encouraging. There is mention of a lounge and bar, though there was no sign of one!
The room we had was small and neat, with plenty of wardrobe space and the bathroom was modern, clean and excellent, with a shower, but not a bath.
The hotel has quite a history, which is explained all over the place and is a revered architectural gem.
There is a leaflet recommending good restaurants within walking distance. The staff are efficient rather than particularly friendly.
