The room was amazing, not your cookie cutter hotel or layout , very unique hotel. They did a good job of letting us know before we got there that it’s under renovation, but be prepared it’s a MAJOR renovation. We absolutely loved it and would stay there again

First time visiting Charleston and we had the best time. Staff was wonderful, room was fantastic. Loved that the hotel was in walking distance of so many restaurants and shops. The moment we arrived the staff was so kind. Will definitely be back !

Accommodations were a poor value overall. The room was spacious but had a poor layout. While i could see a great deal of potential in the property it needed a lot of work to get there. They are definitely working on it but given the stage and scope of renovations it would seem to me that a full or partial closure to get the work done more speedily would serve their future patrons better. The staff was super friendly and helpful and this was probably the best part about the place. The breakfast and cheese and wine offerings however were extremely underwhelming and not in line with the price of the rooms. The areas where renovations were completed didn’t look like too much of an overhaul and end-state finishes weren’t tact sharp. Once the renovations are complete they would still need to lower the prices by $200 a night to bring the value in line. As it stands, there are much nicer hotels in the area for the same cost.

They are in the process of making significant upgrades and improvements to the hotel, which creates some minor areas of inconvenience.
