I chose this hotel because it was close to my conference venue and it had suites which made my life easier with a 10 month old baby
The hotel is right opposite the cathedral so is centrally located. If you haven't been to Christchurch since the earthquake then you need for be away it's still in the rebuild stage, is very quiet and quite deserted at night but that is to be expected
The rooms were large with a bedroom and bathroom upstairs in the mezzanine and a large lounge dining and kitchen downstairs. Fully equipped kitchen and full size fridge. Great facilities and a crazy selection of teas and plunger coffee included. Portacot provided at no cost too which was nice
The most equipped gym I have ever seen in a hotel, and I believe community have access to it and a 25m swimming pool, spa and sauna. Really wish I had been able to use these more.
You can park at the hotel for $25, directly across the road for $8 per 24 hours or a block down the road towards Latimer square there was plenty of free parking on the side of the road.
The staff member at checkin was lovely and even helped me carry my bag to my room as I was carrying the baby and other bags. She even rang and gave me a quick reminder that I would need to move my car to a park somewhere as directly in front of the hotel it's only a 5 minute check in zone
Very happy with the service and facilities and would definitely stay here again!

We arrived on an early flight into Chch and made most welcome by reception. Our bags were kept behind the counter for an hour or so until our room was ready, so we headed off on foot to see how Chch is changing. We were attending dance workshops each day which were a 15min walk away, perfect location.
The room was light and airy and the bathroom facilities great, with excellent lighting for putting on make-up etc..
On leaving (11:00 checkout), our bags were stowed until collection mid afternoon, for our taxi and return flight. Friendly chatty driver just topped off our stay.

Hotel 115 was the perfect fit for me on my stay in Christchurch. The location was immediately behind Cathedral Square, which despite the square's still-pending recovery, is a central location for all tourist activities. The room was not cavernous but was more than adequate for a clean, comfortable King bed and desk as well as a clean and functional bathroom. The staff met me late at night/early in the morning after my flight from Australia came in, and upon entering the room, I noticed that an electric blanket had been turned on prior to my arrival to warm the bed up for the night. With small, thoughtful touches such as this, it is not surprising that I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to another traveler. Plus, I got the room at a good value through Expedia.
This is a motel and B&B combined. It is near the town centre but still retains the charm of an old house. The staff were most helpful and breakfast was available at very reasonable cost. Lastly there was free unlimited wi-fi.
