Nice hotel, steep steps up to main door from car park so not for anyone with any injuries. Rooms were basic, no frills. Breakfast was good, nice choice but could be hotter. Overcharged for car parking so going to try to sort that.

Thank you for your feedback Yvonne. If you do stay with us again we do have a lift from the carpark up to the entrance this is at the right hand side of the building as your are looking at it. I have also had a look at your invoice and can see that the parking fee error has been refunded to you, so sorry that this happened in the first place.

The hotel staff were great, professional, friendly and helpful, sadly the hotel itself not so good. It shows its age and is shabby. The room was dark with insufficient light, the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work so taking a shower ended up with a thick steam fog. Breakfast was average to say the least. For half the price it would have been adequete but at £149 including breakfast poor value and we wouldn't stay here again.

We arrived and there was no disability room available to us despite booking and confirming the booking. They were apologetic and offered us a taxi to a different hotel. This was not acceptable as we were there to attend a funeral locally. We live in America and were running on adrenaline as we hadn’t slept for 37 hours at this point. They issued drink and food vouchers while they figured out the problem and find a solution. Eventually the tossed a member of staff out of her room and we moved in. Exhausted.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have a good experience at all. We paid nearly £300 for our room so we are expecting a luxury experience and see photos attached to what we actually experienced as well as it being freezing cold on arrival - we had to put a hairdryer on in order to heat the room up as it was so cold. This is completely unacceptable

A pleasant enough hotel and the beds were very comfy. Whilst we stayed mid-week I expect werkends will be noisy. Breakfast was average and very annoying to have to psy for parking (which wasn't clear when we booked).

Overall a decent setup. They have a lot of facilities on site like a Starbucks, dining, drinking, fitness and swimming. The rooms are somewhat dated by today’s hotel standards in my opinion. Having no way to decline housekeeping during my stay was unnerving especially after this is pretty bog standard today (more so after the pandemic). Checking in was a nightmare because we needed assistance to check in early (which there is a £15/$18 charge for btw and not clearly stated in any communication). The clerk’s system kept failing or she didn’t know which double rooms offered a tub or couldn’t clearly see which one was available/cleaned by house keeping. Eventually the front desk clerk pulled colleagues in to figure it out and get us checked in an hour after we showed up and 30mins before the 3pm check in time. Seems the hotel has prioritized self serve checkin at the expense of controls/empowering their staff to do what they need. Lastly location. Not an ideal place to stay if you need to get to Manchester. This really only works if you Uber or are driving.

We have stayed here 4/5 times before this stay. Disappointed due to the double double room We booked and paid for was not available. Given a family room instead which had a sofa bed. Thought ok: when we saw the sofa bed it was very very small. Not big enough for 2 . Told would get a part refund but nothing yet.
