There were a few breakfast/coffee shops walkable, but no dinner restaurants. Neighborhood is very hilly with lots of traffic. No morning coffee without leaving the hotel…Two Donkeys closest. A morning coffee bar in the lobby would be a great add…only options were a $30 buffet or leaving the hotel. Transportation was confusing due to construction at the hotel. Uber and cabs couldn’t identify the main entrance to the hotel although it was open and accessible by auto, with drivers arriving for pickup and drop-off on the backside of the hotel. This necessitated walking considerable distance through the construction zone to reach the hotel lobby. This is inconvenient and unnecessary, as the main entry of the hotel is actually not currently obstructed by construction. With luggage and one of our party disabled and on a cane, it was really inexcusable. However, the hotel manager could only become indignant and defensive when I addressed the issue to him, insisting that their website clearly stated that there were construction inconveniences. Other than that, the staff were lovely and the hotel very nice.
