The owners were not very nice upon checking in, they would only give us 2 little glasses of ice for our room & was told we would be charged $10. Corking fee if we opened any of our wine that we brought there. We couldn’t lock our 2 doors & u had to drag your luggage over deep gravel to get to your room. Very unfriendly couple that owned it.

Very bad,seems to be run on a "shoestring".Lack of staff,no food(the first stay we had a bad meal on the terrace which took about two hours to complete,due to lack of service)Only small bottles of beer available,of which I only go one ! Breakfast was equally miserable with very little choice.Overall I would not recommend...oh the swimming pool was clean and good....about the only thing I could recommend!

Beautiful old chatesux
Beautiful old chateaux in superb village location amongst vineyards outside of Bordeaux. A little run down in places but charming all the same. Lovely relaxing pool area. Breakfast was typical French style with quality produce at a good price. Host was there seeing to our needs, he was very likeable and a pleasure to meet. Stayed 2 days and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Absolutely beautiful spot, the grounds are superb and the views over the nearby vineyard and church were fantastic. Our room was spacious, practical and charming and the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly with great recommendations for places to see and eat. The dinner was delicious. Had a great time, would definitely go back and spend more time in the wineries.

Very disappointing
We booked a family room with two double beds and instead got a one double bed and a sofa bed very uncomfortable. I complained about it and the host told us that the family room was booked and that’s all they have left. I’ve never been in such a situation. Very disappointing.

Simply perfect
This hotel which feels more like a deluxe B&B combines at a very reasonable cost the ideal marriage of simplicity with true sophistication. Its not "posh" nor "fancy"... it is just truly elegant. I would highly recommend both for family or couples.

Chateau!
This would have been a lot prettier outdoors if it were later in the spring (vineyards weren't quite bloomed yet but this was obviously due to our timing and nothing they could do about this)! We loved this quiet location and hotel! Our family suite provided a great amount of space for us!

This hotel/chateau needs a lot of improvement. It is somewhat run down from it's appearance. Breakfast was not good. There was no help unless asked from the staff.

Excellent Chateau
We had a wonderful stay at Chateau de Lantic. We stayed with our three sons. The owners went above and beyond to make all of us feel welcomed. We had a wonderful dinner at the hotel. The owner provided children's meals for our boys with small additions so that they could try French food. The breakfast included with our stay came complete with fresh squeezed orange juice and delicious french pastries. If we are ever in this region of France again we will definitely stay here.

Lovely chateau
Chateau lantic is beautiful chateau and property outside of Bordeax. Rooms are well appointed and there is beautiful outdoor pool and terrace to relax by. Breakfast buffet is generous and charmingly presented. We will recommend to friends and family. Suggestion to make this chateau even better would be to promote its services to guests on arrival - we learned about snacks and drinks, spa and neighbouring grand Cru winery late in our visit.

A gem of a find
Very peaceful location, yet easily accessed from the motorway. The room was spacious clean and fitted to the standard of a boutique hotel. Very helpful, multilingual staff. Evening meal was 'chef's menu'; while no choice in courses, the food was excellent - local traditional dishes. All on all, as chateau's go, this was a great find and offered excellent value for money.

The chateau is beautiful, there's no question there. The junior "Suite" that I had booked, however, turned out really to be simply a large-ish room. It's not a suite at all. The main problem though is the service. I arrived at the hotel and found no one at reception. I waited, rang bells, searched and had to hunt down staff. The chap who welcomed us and showed us the room was very pleasant, but from then on, finding anyone, or getting anything done was practically impossible. Completely unable to even buy a bottle of wine or order coffee for the room. For a room that was so expensive, except for the natural beauty of the hotel, none of it lived up to my expectations at all. I wouldn't go back, given the vast choice of other places available in this price range.

We enjoyed the location of the hotel, 15 minutes by car to Bordeaux. Nice room and confortable. Very good breakfast. We didn't have time to enjoy the pool.

Chateau de Lantic - Nice B&B in old chateau
Good location for exploring the wineries in the Leognan area (Latour Martillac is just down the street). Leognan itself just a short drive, about 5 mins. Quiet location, the only "noise" was from the church bells from the church in town which is a short walk and has a few restaurants (didn't try any). Our room "Mauriac" had a sep. bedroom and sleeper sofa in living area. Good for family; lots of games/reading material in the room. Very tiny but nice kitchenette w/microwave and stove. Clean bathroom but the spout on the faucet was too close to the edge of the sink causing water to flood the counter behind the sink. Otherwise very happy with our one-night stay.

Bordeaux magic
Why stay in anything but a chateau when you're in this beautiful area of France?! Just 15 min. outside the fabulous gem of Bordeaux in the quiet countryside, this important part of history is still there for you to enjoy. The price is very reasonable. The staff friendly, very knowlegable of the reagion. They have a great breakfast to start you on your way as well as local products such as Bordeaux wines. Get the flavour of France the way it was.

Very nice guest house in the countryside
We had a lovely 2 day break relaxing by the pool and visiting the local vineyards on bikes we rented there. Service was good and we found the owners to be particularly friendly.

Bel aménagement pour ce vieil édifice. Propre, fonctionnel, environnement de la propriété est bien aménagé avec une très belle piscine. Bien entouré des vignobles de Pessac-Léognan. Personnel très sympathique, donne des renseignements intéressants sur la région.
