This is an old fashioned hotel, but with rooms that were just what a wanted. Affordable, cozy, and clean. It is right across the street from the S Bahn station, so it's very easy to get to. My only complaint is that I knew I would have heavy luggage, so I made sure to choose a hotel with an elevator. But the elevator stops at intermediate levels, so you still have to go up or down a half flight of stairs to get to your room.

Gave my room to someone else, after i checked in
Whilst out of the hotel they gave my room to someone else. They gave me another room, took my things there (nothing missing), but didn't bother trying to contact me. So when i got back to the hotel i had quite the surprise. The mattress in the new room must be years old, it dips in the middle. I'm not sure what pillow they use, but it offers no support. Overall, an awful experience

Great location, across from the S-Bahn station and access to Taxis. It's about 15 minutes from Tiegel. The staff is friendly and for the price, I had a nice room. However, the cleanliness factor in my room wasn't top-notch. There were dust and toilet paper under my bed, it didn't look like it had been vacuumed in a few months. Otherwise, I was satisfied with my stay.

You get exactly what you pay for -- good price-to-quality ratio with a convenient location, but no frills in the room. Bathroom was larger than I expected, which was a nice surprise.

Good location if you’re staying west, well connected to the Center as it’s opposite Charlottenburg station. The rooms are quite simple and the amenities are somewhat lacking, but it was a great stay!

It is an older building and we had some problems with hot water, but it was rectified relatively promptly. Due to its placement, the elevator alway requires the guests to walk 1/2 flights of stairs. The location is great. Quick walk to the transportation, restaurants, great city shopping mall and Opera. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Bedding is always fresh and crisp. Bathroom amenities are ample.

Staffs were super polite and breakfast was delicious. Just the building wall is kind of thin that talking from other rooms and noises are heard easily. Otherwise location is very good, very near to train station and near to TK maxx.

Easy access to and from Tegal airport. Very close to major railway station and bus routes making movement very easy. Plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars, nearby to suit all tastes. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Hotel has everything one needs and some plus some really good prints all through the hotel.

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the 'City Cube' convention center in Western Berlin. Once I became familiar with the metro system I saw I could get from the hotel to the convention center in just 6 minutes. The hotel is located in a very nice, quite, picturesque and familial neighborhood (Charlottenburg) full of restaurants which offer local and international food at reasonable prices. The hotel has friendly staff which assists the traveler even if he/she is not fluent in German. Breakfast (buffet type) was tasteful and varied and the morning staff at the dining room was very friendly and polite. The room and bathroom were always clean. Perhaps the only factor that could be improved would be the quality of the Wi-Fi system since communication through social networks was intermittently interrupted. Otherwise, it is a pleasant place to stay. Since it was early October, there was no need to adjust the thermostat. The close proximity to the metro system, across the street, gave me the chance to commute to downtown Berlin and other nice places of the city including the Zoo area and the great park (Tiergarten) that leads to Brandenburg gate. Overall, it is a good hotel with close proximity to the Tegel airport and I believe I would return to it should the opportunity to return to Berlin knocks again. My personal score (from 1 to 5 points, being 5 the best score) would be 4.5.

Comfortable hotel close to station
The hotel is just a few yards from the station and is in the centre of a modern shopping area with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops big and small. The overall feel of the area is friendly with some very upmarket touches (EG a Bentley dealership nearby!). The hotel serves a simple breakfast in the restaurant next door, usual cold food plus scrambled eggs, sausage and small burgers, unlimited coffee etc. Not excellent and maybe not worth the 11 euros it costs but better than some other hotels i could mention. The room was small but big enough for just a few days. The ensuite bathroom was very well equipped. The staff were very helpful, they spoke english and were happy to assist with everything.

This lovely hotel is distinctive with its unique artwork and displays. It catches your eye from the street. It has areas where guests can enjoy reading or having coffee. The elevator stops halfway between floors so you can either walk up or down to your room. Small room but was fine--bed, bath, TV. Wi-fi took awhile to work and after I had access to the internet, the same evening I had problems again. My only complaint. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Loved the location.

No aircon in the room. Not a great area but also not so bad that I wouldn't stay again. Convenient bus stop across the street and train station nearby. Excellent food at the bar on the corner. Not a disabled-accomodating layout, elevator stops at stair landings between floors.

Its a very small room, but neat, clean and tidy. I am a solo female traveler, it's enough for me. There is no air-con in the room but luckily they have an electric fan which i borrowed from the reception. The room is very clean and neat though small. Very nice and helpful staff. Pro: close to the charlottenburg train station, 1-3 minutes walk con: No air-con

Decent Hotel Right By Charlottenburg Station
Right opposite the exit to Charlottenburg station, I had a single room, it was a bit small, but that doesn't distract from what I received. It wasn't a problem as I was only staying there for 1 night and was more than adequate as its not as if you will be holding a 50 person party in the room!! Would stay there again without hesitation

The hotel is great value for the money, with good connections to all local trains and Charlottenburg S-Bahnhof. The rooms and bed were fine and comfortable, although the hotel can be a bit loud and you hear everything. Local area also has many good places to eat and drink, although it is very different from central Berlin. Overall a good place to stay if you are planning to travel around and willing to take the train.

Great one night stay
Room and toilet were clean and fresh, however, also small and tight, reminded me of hotel rooms in Japan. Not a problem for us but can imagine bigger people would have some trouble. Staff very friendly and helpful. No problem storing luggage for a few hours after checkout. Very close to Charlottenburg station with many connections.

some strange things happened this time.
This hotel is normally ok. This time I was told a breakfast was not paid for, when it was, and it took a bit of persuading to get them to correct it. Also my baggage may have been interfered with in the secure room on my day of departure. Staff attitude not good.

Convenient and comfortable in Charlottenburg
I stayed in an economy single room, which was a good value. The room was small but nicely furnished, and the bed was comfortable. The room had a clean and comfortable private bathroom as well. The layout of the building is slightly awkward, as the reception is not on the ground floor, and the elevator stops on the stair landings in between floors. This was not a problem for me, but might present hurdles for people with disabilities (although they may have alternate arrangements of which I am unaware). My room faced the courtyard, and conversations occurring there echoed into the room, but stopped before I went to bed, and so was not too disruptive. The location of the hotel is incredibly convenient; adjacent to a train station and to a bus stop for Tegel airport. The neighborhood is great as well, with lots of asian and turkish/Mediterranean restaurants within easy walking distance, as well as shopping and pretty neighborhoods. Overall, a nice place to stay.

Simple, good value and well placed
I booked two budget rooms, a comfortable double with a king-size bed for Husb and myself and a twin for teenage nephews. Lovely, simple, airy and arty rooms, all basic facilities and the twin room was great fun for the lads. The hotel has a nice residents lounge with complimentary tea and coffee, a fruit bowl and a library. It's brilliantly placed for Berlin Tergel airport, the 109 bus takes about 20 minutes, costs less than 3 Euros and the hotel is literally around the corner from the bus stop. Also well placed for travelling in and around the city by bus and with an S Bahn station directly opposite. Plenty of places to eat, from budget to pricey, within a minute or two and a Lidl around the corner.

An old favorite.
Close to S-Bahn and a group of good restaurants on Stuttgarter Platz. Lounge with coffee and tea available at no extra charge, and even a bowl of fruit you can snack from. Taxi to the airport is only 15 to 16 Euros, and the airport bus passes nearby. You need to be agile enough to use the stairs though. The lift is badly placed to be next to useless. Rooms fine, if you're not too picky. I never stay anywhere else, it suits me.

Very functional, quiet, rooms. Everything worked as you would expect (though wifi was patchy but always there). Rooms a bit small - but then you don't go to Berlin to stay indoors!

Cute hotel in good location
Really cute hotel in a good location. Our room had really fun wall art that doubled as a light! Directly across the street from a station on the main S-Bahn line, so we could be to the city center in about 10 minutes. Street was not overly loud, and we felt very safe in this neighborhood. Hotel is close to numerous shops and restaurants, and just a couple of blocks from a large pedestrian shopping area. Staff was polite and helpful. Free wi-fi was nice, but the signal was not very strong. Overall a great place to stay!
