“good stop-over”

Good value for an over-night stop, reception available 24 hours a day - we arrived very late so no hassle collecting keys. Tea/coffee/biscuits available in the room, very clean room, would have liked a thicker duvet but the bed was very comfortable.

“Comfortable and clean - does what it says on the tin”

I stayed in this hotel because those in the area that I stay at usually were fully-booked. My stay was my first experience of a Days Inn, and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was comfortable, clean, well-equipped, and surprisingly large. The walls were not paper-thin like those in some other budget hotel chains that I have used, and I had a good night's sleep in the comfortable bed. The hotel is accessible from the M1 both Northbound and Southbound, albeit that it is not well signposted from Newport Pagnell services on the Northbound side. There is ample, well-lit, parking close to the hotel reception. The staff were polite and helpful. Not a lot more to say, really. A good night's sleep in a comfortable bed in a clean room, for a reasonable price. I will stay at this hotel again, probably in preference to another that I use locally.

“Great Location Junction 14 service on M1”

Went to Silverstone for GTR Track Day , stopover Days Inn great value for what we paid -much cheaper than stay in Silverstone ! Breakfast was very good with fresh fruit salads . The small problem is the flat pillow , and the door banging hard behind you if your window is open .

“Sufficient for a one or two night stay”

Hotel fairly easy to find with plenty of parking spaces. Staff on reception very pleasant and accommodated my room change request without any quibbles (I prefer not to stay in ground floor rooms). Replacement room was fine although there was a continuous gurgling from the toilet bowl which kept me awake on the first night - I had bought earplugs by the second night so no problem! There wasn't any road noise that I noticed, although there was a slight hum from maybe a generator or air conditioning unit from the kitchen. However the fire alarm did wake me up at 6:30am on the second morning there, only went off for 5 seconds so enough to wake you up completely but not so you had to go outside in your PJ's. A mixed blessing. Restaurant menu is fairly reasonable in price, choice and quality. You are next to the services though, so you have access to KFC, Burger King and Waitrose too. There is no room service but they are happy to let you take your food back to your room if you wish. There is free wifi but it was quite slow and kept disconnecting itself intermittently. Many of the Freeview channels on the TV (that you might want to watch, at least) didn't seem to work. Overall, reasonable standard of accommodation. Bed fairly comfy, bathroom shiny and spotless. Towels were clean although a bit thin and smelt slightly funny. Fine for an overnight stay but wouldn't want to stay for more than a couple of nights.

“standard motel”

standard motel, nothing special about it. staff was very nice if not very happy to work there. only good if you have a car, as it is out of reach of anything.

“Cheap but a bit lacking”

When we checked in the foreign trainee kept trying to charge us for the room even though we had paid online. The bathroom handle was hanging off and attached by 1 screw, the walls were a little scuffed in the room and there were no plug sockets either side of the bed. The drains smelt and the plugs had to be in the sink and bath at all times to prevent the smell from escaping. We bought a breakfast voucher but this was never checked and the continental breakfast was a bit basic for £4.95 each. The photos of the hotel look better than when you get there and the road from the services to get to the hotel is not signposted other than a no entry sign saying "authorised vehicles only" It was cheap and cheerful and on a tight budget it's better than sleeping in your car.

“Okay fo brief stay”

Good sized bedrooms. Had to change rooms as toilet would not flush. Shower leaked at tap head. Soap dispensers did not work properly. No comfort chair in room. Hot Breakfast items only available spasmodically so had to visit breakfast bar several times. Quality of food pleasing. Get what you pay for I guess.
