“weekend stay”

Excellent hotel. Very modern. Only draw back is it's about a 10 minute cab ride to all the attractions. Has a shopping mall on the doorstep, with many good places to eat. The staff are very friendly and helpfull. There is a taxi rank around the corner, if the hotel book it for you there is a surcharge. Would highly recommend. No real flaws.

“good for couples close too metro”

no complaints about our stay in barcelona, but on arrival at hotel was informed was a problem with the whole floor in which our room was on, but to our relief they had moved us to the Vincii Bit hotel about 300 yrds away with an upgrade to breakfast for our entire stay, plus sauna, turkish bath and the use of roof top pool, ( to cold for us though as weather was not that good). So my rating is for the Vincci Bit hotel not the maritimo, would stay here again.

“Fantastic hotel!!”

The hotel itself is fantastic - the staff are friendly and helpful, the aesthetics of the hotel are gorgeous, and the rooms are superb! Very clean and elegant, especially the bathroom! Nice modern designs. There is a metro stop literally 2mins walk away, just round the corner, which is very useful for getting around the city. Buy a T-10 ticket! There is a huge shopping centre and an array of restaurants again literally 3mins walk away - fantastic! Was very very pleased with this hotel, would definately go back and recoment to anyone!

“A great place!”

You won't fail to be impressed by Barcelons and the Vincci Maritimo. Hotel staff were very helpful and accomodating. Everyone in my party thought the hotel was great. The rooms were well decorated and the ,air conditioning was a must. Although not in the centre of Barcelona it is well positioned for the Metro, is on the bus tour routr and not too far from the Villa Olympia. The Diagnol Mar Shopping centre is literally a 5 minute walk away.

“Very Nice Hotel”

This modern hotel was very clean, comfortable n accessible. The beach was within walkin distance and also a large shopping centre a few minutes away which was very handy. Highly Reccommend it!

“Definietly worth looking in to - great value hotel”

We found the location of the hotel to be perfect for us as it was near the motorway for when we drove up to the mountain to go snowbaording. It was only a minute or 2 walk from the hotel to the Metro which took you in to the city centre in about 10mins. Neighbourhood is very safe and clean and hotel is a short walk from the Diagonal Mar shopping centre for those looking for retail therapy. There is also a fantastic local pizza restaurant/take away opposite the shopping centre if your looking for a casual bite to eat. Hotel was of a very good quality. we did not dine in the restaurant so can not comment on the food. they provide free, safe underground parking for those with a rental car.

“Great Hotel”

The Vincci Maritimo Hotel is one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in. Staff were extremely helpful and the hotel was clean and of a very high standard. The decor and design are very modern. Not all staff spoke english which made it slightly difficult at times and this hotel in the Diagonal Mar district so not ideal if your only in barcelona to do the tourist site seeing stuff.

“Very Happy!”

My wife and I have just spent 6 nights in Barcelona and overall were very impressed with the hotel.The breakfast buffet selection is huge and fairly priced, but you pay the same if you have only tea and toast, or everything, so if you a small eater then try room service. The metro is 5 minutes away as is a large shopping centre, and the sea. It is a 5 mile walk along the sea front to the Olypmic Port. The staff were very friendly. If you want a drink in your room the mini bar was well stocked and again fairly priced, but there are no facilities for making hot drinks if you want one. The only English speaking channel is CNN and the reception is poor. And if you are a teletext junkie and want the English football results it would be quicker to phone home for them.Compared to the hotel we stayed in England before flying out to Barcelona, this is streets ahead at 3/4 of the price. The tram into Barcelona is also 2 minutes over the road, and there are lots of buses. Very safe area. Try the local shop and transport cafe for a real taste of the locals. I would use this hotel again and this hotel chain where possible.

Had a fantastic stay, staff were helpful and polite. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Would definetly stay their again.

“Wonderful - just bear a couple of things in mind...”

This is a beautiful hotel, slightly off the centre (which is within easy reach using the Metro). The restaurant is a little overpriced for what it is (although breakfast is nice), but the staff are lovely and the rooms are great. It's five minutes walk from the huge Diagonal Mar shopping centre (see note below) and the fact that it's not in the centre means a) the price is VERY reasonable for a four star hotel and b) it's nice and quiet at night. Perhaps not the best hotel for kids, but it seems churlish to complain. Highly recommended and I'll be returning.
