What a great spot. Staff was beyond courteous and helpful. Rooftop terrace has an eyeball to eyeball view of Sagrada in addition to a great view of Barcelona. The bar/lounge area on the first floor has a wonderful vibe for a quick bite or drink. Our room was small but so beautifully designed that we spent the normal amount of time there. And location was perfect. Close to Gothic Quarter. In a really nice neighborhood. Good stuff.

Wonderful hotel and staff. We totally enjoyed our stay. Very attentive to our questions and needs. Very welcoming and friendly. Only problem was first day with breakfast wait staff was not as attentive as the rest of our stay. Never brought our coffee and did return during our breakfast. The breakfast selections and availability well made up for anything lacking with the staff. Next day was much better. Overall a Majestic experience!

Title: Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona: Elegance with a Few Hiccups Our stay at Majestic Hotel & Spa in Barcelona was a mix of beauty and minor inconveniences. The hotel's attention to detail is impressive, and the check-in experience made us feel special. However, the lobby service was slow during our two nights of drinks, and on the last night, it took an hour to get a bottle of wine. On a positive note, the rooftop provided amazing views and excellent staff. Despite the hiccups, the overall experience was memorable.

Fabulous visit and first time I had been in Barcelona for a long time at this time of year. The hotel looked beautiful in all areas and the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Restaurant and rooftop terrace were really lovely. Ideally situated and well worth the cost.

Our preferred hotel whenever we visit Barca, the location is super convenient with many attractions walking distance. The property itself is beautiful and the staff very warm and welcoming. We have visited Barca many times and while we have tried other lodgings, ultimately it is the Majestic that feels like "home" when in Barcelona.

The Place to Stay in Barcelona
We stayed 4 nights and have stayed here before. Beautiful hotel, great location and friendly staff. Food is great with a fantastic breakfast. Rooftop bar is best in Barcelona. Close to excellent shopping and restaurants.

The Majestic Residence and the Hotel and Spa were the best hotel decision we made. It was beautiful, spacious, near La Pedrera and other attractions, including a stop for the hop on, hop off bus. We will definitely stay again.

Being a historical hotel (more than 100 years), nevertheless entirely recently renovated, we have quite a number of room types spread out in 3 buildings of different origins making most rooms non identical in size, shape, views and exposure. Therefore, we have a wide range of room categories, of different sizes, features and views, and the room assignment can be challenging sometimes. I am not trying to provide an excuse, just want to offer an explanation about the room that was assigned to you in this occasion. Well located, nicely appointed, very friendly and accommodating staff, lovely rooftop bar with tasty food. Was a great beginning to our vacation!

We stayed at the Majestic for a week…in two separate stays. The waiters and bellman were and are outstanding. They were helpful, greeted us regularly, and were just a delight. The food upstairs was great, and we got some seriously big drinks poured for us. The front desk and concierge were the problem. We reached out and with them repeatedly — due to booking problems, rooms that were not ready on time, and the most problematic, they clearly don’t talk together. We were confirmed for our second stay and upgraded to a better room category for one of two nights. This after staying 5 days in one of the 2 BR apartments a week earlier. Upon checkout, they tried to charge me for an upgraded “city view” room. This AFTER I spoke with them the night before to clarify that the room was upgraded already by a member of their staff AND it was confirmed. I provided the name and time. They essentially “did not believe me”. Wow. keys didn’t work, we requested a pick up at the airport and they didn’t show. Let’s just say it was a big disappointment.

The location of the property is unbeatable, the lobby is very elegant and so are the rooms, which I did NOT like, even though I requested a room with a window, this one had one but it was towards a kind of rectangle that adjoined other windows of the property. rooms, even one of them was apparently a utility room in which they had the blooming light on 24 hours a day giving the sensation that it never got dark or dawn, I did NOT like the fact that even though I reported it from the first moment of my Upon arrival, I had several bottles of water and open sweets, they told me that they were going to solve it, when I checked out they charged me 92.00 euros for something that I did not consume and since it was 3am, the transport was waiting for me, I simply paid it because it would be impossible at that time to contact the people with whom I made the report. very unpleasant.

Staying at a hotel of this calibre we expected better. The room we were initially shown was not fit for purpose, low angled ceilings in the roof, no window, for this price i was shocked and requested another room. This process was exhausting, we sat in reception for an hour with no updates. The staff in all other areas are very attentive but this was a very dull start to our trip. The other issue is the roof terrace, last time we stayed here there was a lovely area for sunbathing by the pool. This has been remived and replaced with more tables for lunch, there were only 4 sunloungers! For a hotel this size this is insane. The prices are also so high we couldnt enjoy the terrace at all and went elsewhere. 60 euros for Sangria is utterly preposterous. I wouldnt stay here again as sadly we were not able to enjoy the 5 star service we hoped for.

Therefore, we have a wide range of room categories, of different sizes, features and views, and the room assignment can be challenging sometimes. I am not trying to provide an excuse, just want to offer an explanation about the room that was assigned to you initially. Feel free to contact us prior your next stay to ensure we can perfectly match your room assignment based on your needs.I regret as well that you found our incidental costs too expensive. All our products and services are of the highest quality, and our prices are in line with our main 5 star GL Hotel competitors.
