Excellent Stay in Central Barcelona
After having a few problems with our trip to our hotel, our hosts were amazing and super helpful, pointing us in the right direction to solve our problems and generally being friendly and thoughtful people. Our room was incredible, clean, spacious and with a small balcony looking over the street, it truly felt like we were living in central Barcelona. The shared toilet never became a problem and the already mentioned thoughtfulness of our hosts meant we were never afraid to ask questions or get help in finding places, though with location the Hostal was, this was rarely a problem anyway. This was a really great little place to stay and my girlfriend and I were really impressed. If we ever come back to Barcelona we would definitely book this place again.

Pleasantly surprised
Better than I expected. The guys that run it are very helpful, and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, there was clean towels in the bathroom. The water was always hot and the water pressure is good. The beds were made daily as well as the bins emptied and bathroom clean. This was the first time I've stayed in a hostal and I must say the service was better than I've received in some hotels, the only negative I have is that the room had one window that faced 3 more walls so no view and not much light coming in. But as most people are there the experience the city this shouldn't be an issue. I had a very pleasant stay and would stay here again , thank you guys for a nice place to stay. You're doing a great job.

Great location great staff!
Staff were lovely and very friendly. Spoke very good English. It was a bit hard to find at first but once we found it, it was perfect. We got a double room, which was clean and tidy. Fresh towels and bedding. Also a working air conditioning unit. Definitely recommend.

great stay in a cool neighborhood
Awesome little spot in the University district of Barcelona. A 30 min walk or less from all major points of interest in the city, and close to a subway stop. The neighborhood has a bunch of cool restaurants, and some nifty shops can be found on the way to la rambla. We got a room with a balcony opening up onto Carre Casanova, which was awesome. The amenities were clean and modern, despite our expectations to the contrary from photos on the booking page. Alex and Jorge were super friendly, and made our arrival and departure a pleasant experience. Would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Barcelona.

Amazing location, but hard to find at first.
The stay was pretty good and cheap for the location. It was center of all the attractions. First getting there we found the location but you have to have a key to get in and the call button up doesn't work, we had to wait for someone to come out to get in. The outside and going up to the hostel looks very sketchy, but once inside it is pretty nice. The bathroom was pretty small, but the beds were fine. Overall I recommend this place, very cheap for an amazing location.

Will do.
Sufficient if you are looking for a roof over your head for a few days. 1 towel every 3 days isn't really acceptable though. Make sure to bring your own!

Loved it!
The hostal had a very High standard, the staff was so friendly, and it wasn't a problem to walk to many of the beautiful sights of Barcelona. Without adoubt a place we would return to. We simply loved it!

Absolut central
Great location for this no frills hostel. The owner Jordi is very pleasant and speaks perfect english. Local bars and cafes are a bonus if you prefer not to spend too much in Barcelona centre for food or drinks.

Acomodação confortável em boa área da cidade.
Tudo dentro do esperado. Localização excelente (ótimo bairro, além de ser perto de metrôs e paradas de ônibus), quarto confortável, wi-fi potente, ar condicionado adequado. Banheiro, apesar de compartilhado, limpo e com boa ducha. Atenção: é cobrada uma taxa de depósito no momento do check-in que não é devolvida - isto está explícito no anúncio, mas pode passar despercebido.

L'Hostal Absolut Stay è molto pulito, la camera (con bagno privato) era abbastanza spaziosa e pulita. Ogni mattina veniva rifatto il letto e cambiate gli asciugamani. L'Hostal si trova a 4-5 minuti a piedi dalla metro Urgell e a 10-12 minuti a piedi da Casa Batllo, posizione ottima per visitare la città. Il quartiere è tranquillo e ci sono molti ristoranti, bar e supermercati.

Muy buena ubicación.
No me gusta q al llegar no hay quien te reciba el hostal está cerrado, tienes q notificar tu hora de llegada y si por alguna razón llegas más temprano o más tarde, tienes que hablar por teléfono como eres extranjero la llamada te cuesta mucho dinero. Expedia debe admitir sitios de hospedaje q tengan administración abierta, llegas a un lugar que no conoces vas de vacaciones no a batallar.

Señora q pena su amargura. Unas vacaciones son para disfrutar. Seria conveniente q leyera un poco la descripción de las propiedades donde piensa alojarse. Las toallas? Es la primera vez en años q un huesped hace un comentario tal. Pero bueno lo tomo como de quien viene. Para su conocimiento somos los establecimientos los q decidimos donde vendernos y NO a la inversa. Es comprensible su agrio comentario; deja al descubierto su falta de experiencia y escaso contacto con Europa. Igualmente gracias por su tiempo y sus comentarios tan negarivos. Siempre tenemos en cuenta los reviews aunque sean tan negativos como el suyo. Best regards.

Bien situado y limpio. Pero muy ruidoso. Y te obligan a pagar una fianza de 100€ por si rompes algo. Si te portas bien, en 8 dias te la devuelven.

Great value for money
The room is basic but has all you need. We slept very well. Very friendly staff. The location is superb. Wifi worked great. Very good value for money as Barcelona is an expensive hotel city.

Obviamente Ud no presto atencion ni a las indicaciones ni a nada mas. Es un baño para DOS habitaciones. DOS habitaciones. El resto todas tienen baño privado. Para ser las camas no muy comodas Ud y su novia se levantaban muy tarde y siempre nos aseguraron que todo estaba bien y las camas muy comodas. Realmente sorprendente. Gracias.

Perfekt til pengene
Et super fint sted til pengene. Det var billigt i forhold til mange andre steder, og det vigtigste for os var toilet og bad på værelset. VI fik super service af de to mænd, som var til stede. Roomservice hver dag. Ingen larm. Meget lille, men hyggeligt. Ikke luksus, men luksus til pengene. Super fint kvarter, tæt på metro og la rambla i gå afstand.

Bien. Queríamos una habitación con baño propio para dormir y poco más. Amabilidad y serviciales por parte de los dueños. A dos calles de gran vía de Barcelona y plaza universitat. Zona tranquila y parking público justo al lado.

Hostal calidad baja
Buenas tardes. Me hospede en este hostal 4 días. Al llegar a Barcelona me enteré de que estaba situado en la zona gay mas famosa de Barcelona. En realidad es un edificio muy antiguo, y el hostal se encuentra en la primera planta. Al entrar y al subir las escaleras, tenía la impresión de que eso era una casa de terror. En cuanto a la habitación, eche en falta una secadora de pelo.La cama se movía un montón, y la limpieza me dejo un poco de desear.Por internet ponen fotos bonitas pero en realidad no es así. Si llego a saber que está en ese estado nunca lo hubiese reservado.

Luogo adatto ad un viaggio dove si utilizza poco la camera. In compenso letti molto comodi,il wifi funzionava molto bene. L unica scomodità era non poter fumare nella stanza e non c erano nemmeno shampoo e bagno schiuma. Molto comodo per girare a piedi perché era tutto vicino. In compenso tornerei li volentieri.

Hotel très bien situé et bon rapport qualité prix
En fait il s'agit d'un appartement dans un immeuble d'habitation et qui a été transformé en hôtel composé de cinq chambres. Notre chambre était avec une salle de bain et côté cour donc très calme. Nous avons eu un peu froid car le chauffage ne se déclenche que vers 20h. L'hôtel est très bien situé à quelques minutes à pied de Montjuic, du passeig de gracia ou des ramblas donc idéal car pas besoin de prendre le métro. Très bon accueil. Bon séjour. Nous y retournerons sans problème

Un hostal muy agradable, los trabajadores siempre empeñados en facilitar cualquier pedido. Hicimos pedidos especiales como secador de pelo, cobija extra, cambio de toallas. No tienen recepción pero no impide de proveer un buen servicio. Tiene una privacidad deseable

가지 마세요... 무슨 체크인 하는 것도 이쪽 사정에 다 맞춰야 돼요 24시간 있지도 않고 심지어 공동욕실이었음. 돈 아까워요 돈 좀 덜 주고 호스텔 가시거나 돈 더주고 더 좋은 곳 가세요

Realmente recomendado. Es un hostal super bien ubicado, yo fui 4 noches con mi novio y no soy una persona deportista pero no necesitamos del uso de transporte publico ningun dia ya que es muy agradable caminar por las calles. Jorge el encargado una persona super amable,nos toco compartir el baño con otra pareja, pero si no nos decian ni nos enterabamos. Asean las habitaciones diario. Y respecto a las personas que se quejan del hostal,debo de comentar que es un muy buen precio,y si vas a conocer Barcelona realmente solo dormiras en el hostal. Respecto a que esta en la zona gay es cierto,pero Dios mio estamos en siglo XXI no es nada del otro mundo ver dos personas del mismo sexo tomadas de la mano. Me gusto el concepto que es como tu "casa" tipo te dan la llave de el depa y tu habitacion, y entras y sales cuando quieras, yo nunca me tope a ningun otro huesped en mis 4 dias. Definitivo cuando regrese a Barcelona es una muy buena opcion. Dentro de recomendacion sugiero un frigo en las habitaciones. Seria de gran ayuda.

Jag tyckte att vistelsen var helt ok, lyhörd är det från andra rummen och traffiken var störande ibland. Sedan fanns det ingen reception på hostel. Vi fick ringa en kille som kom och tog oss emot.
