So bed, shower and TV were adequate however this property requires some immediate attention!! Old and outdated. Starting with the screen to the door was broken right off. Although it was a room with a kitchen all small appliances are in terrible condition. The cafe to the coffee maker DOES NOT FIT! The toaster just keeps burning the toast and does not pop up. Burners on the stove do not work and after 15 minutes in the micro wave ON HIGH food was still not hot. Fridge froze our food. Put the sign for housekeeping out 2 mornings in a row… no service EVER. Hard to find an electrical outlet that would hold the plugs. Poor lighting. As outdated as it was the unit was clean.

The location is awesome for a quiet stay. However, it is definitely not the cleanest place. Both the pillow case looked slightly yellowish and had some hair on it, while the nightstand was dusty. Overall, I would recommend staying but bring your own bed covers.

We really liked our stay here but our fire place wouldn’t light . But the staff was nice and got us what we need for our stay there . And house keeping asked us every morning if we needed anything . So that was nice but the view was not the greatest . I expected better being on a mountain.

Room was large and clean but property is definitely showing its age. A lot of the cupboard doors in the kitchen need fixing. Plenty of room for both of us and the open fire would be lovely in the winter. Complimentary bus pass to town was fantastic.

I’d love to post photos of just how terrible this place is maintained! Cupboard door missing, like if cigarette butts in the balcony, hair in the bathtub, Murphy bed when you are putting it up, had never been cleaned I’m sure, thick dust and candy, lamps broken, the phone didn’t work, had to ask them to come up and fix it and put bulbs in the broken lamps(the bases were broken) bathroom door we had to prop the ironing board against so it would stay closed, the door handle was broken. Worst place I have ever stayed in in all my life and they actually charge a ridiculous amount for the room!! I guess because it’s Banff and they’ll get booked regardless. Pool, will never be fixed so do t plan on that, hot tub luke warm, can’t say one good thing about this property. I’d love to demand my money back and glad it was only two nights. Not enough room to list everything that was wrong with this place

A great place for a big family or group. Has all the amenities that you need. As clean as can be expected for a VERY dated property. Falling apart. Missing doors from cabinets, broken outlets, sticky screen door etc. but a good price if you don’t need new. Wood burning fireplace in the unit

This was a cute and accessible property. The building was kind of old but warm. Some of the lights in my room didnt work. Chargers fell out of outlets, room smelled kinda funny. But overall the kitchen was amazing, and suites was cute.

Douglas Fir is not Douglas Fir without it's old finish but old does not mean it has to be dirty and rotting. Playzone has areas where there are rusted parts of the building, which is a big concern specially with kids running around. Same as the water slides and changerooms. Rooms are rustic but really dirty. It's at a point where you question if it was cleaned prior to your stay. Our dishwasher leaked out completely. There's only one ice machine and is on the 3rd floor of the main building, which is an inconvenience for guests that stay in the rooms outside the main building. Douglas Fir needs a refresh. It's one of the best hotels to stay in for the experience it offers but it needs help, BAD.

I like that each unit has a kitchenette and fire place. And they have a really nice outdoor hot tub. Unfortunately when we were there in February the hot tub was cold.
