"Nice little hotel. Convenient location. Clean. The only issue was my fault in that we accidentally picked a smoking room not realizing that was still a thing. The smell was fairly strong in the room even though it was clean. Sadly, there was no maintenance on staff to assist. The solution was to simply buy some Febreze and spray it to kill the odor. It worked quite well and within 15 minutes or so the smell had more or less dissipated. This led us to think, perhaps that can be part of the cleaning process. Yes it is a smoking room but it is not necessary to be blasted by it when you first open the door. In the morning, that smell was gone. The power of Febreze has a new level of respect from us! To be clear, the sheet and pillows and hard surfaces didn't have the sent. It was mainly the curtains, soft chair and a little on the headboards and bathroom walls which we thought was odd. The place as a whole is lovely and an ideal spot if visiting Destin on a quick trip or a budget. Would stay there again. Just make sure you pick the right room and if you end up with smoking and don't smoke, bring Febreze just in case!"
