"Great weekend in the old farmhouse (built in 1760). Quiet and relaxing with everything you need - just bring food, the rest is there. House was spotless and stocked with everything you need from crockery and cutlery to pots and pans, firewood, braai grid, fire lighters and even matches. TV with full DSTV channels was a bonus to watch the rugby. It has 2 separate bedrooms each with a bathroom and can sleep 9 people. Highly recommended. "

"We really enjoyed our stay. Especially our Toy Poodle and Yorkie. They could roam around freely, because the premises is safe and dog-proof. We enjoyed the goodies supplied and the owners are very friendly. The cottage is nice and big and we especially enjoyed the Netflix. Only negatives, here and there things that were not completely clean, like drawers and over gloves, etc but nothing that a thorough clean can't fix. Overall the place was clean enough. We will definitely go again."

"Alida and her husband welcomed us on first arrival and continued to make us welcome throughout our stay. There was a useful welcome pack and everything was as advertised. The shady verandah was wonderful complete with copious birds including cape sugarbirds and sunbirds visiting the feeders. The home made melk tart was delicious and very welcome. A lovely stay we highly recommend. "

"The property is off the beaten track and Malgas is only accessible via a gravel road but if you want somewhere to escape and enjoy lovely views this is the place to go. The Boathouse is very well equipped with a spacious shower, all required kitchen utensils and surprisingly good wifi despite the remote location. If you are tall the sloping roof may be a challenge. "Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt! Besonders gut gefallen hat uns der ruhige und entspannte Innenhof mit kleinem Pool und dass man sein Frühstück auf der sonnigen Terrasse genießen konnte. Einziges Manko: die Zimmer sind ziemlich hellhörig. Das hat uns für eine Nacht aber nicht groß gestört."

"Lovely people and charming place. Could help self to vegetables in the garden or even the eggs from the chickens for breakfast which was a hit with the kids. Only drawback was that it was a bit of a squash, we should have booked a third room. The rooms are called “two bedroom” but they are actually one bedroom suites with a single sofa bed in the living room so not really suitable for three adults. This is in the small print of the room description so our fault for not reading closely but I...
