Villa was not available and we were moved to another place. The owner was very helpful but at the new place, we were not able to get support and access to equipment to have dinner at the villa and the communication with the hotel did not work. Bad service but beautiful place and surroundings. We also had 2 bottles of champagne for new years disappear and did not hear back from the staff after we left about the issue even though they promised to get back to us.

This was a wonderful experience! The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The resort offers a lot of services like the pool breakfast and flower bath known to Bali. Only thing to be aware is that the free breakfast is very limited with options.

Where to begin… first of all this is super far away from everything and you will have to taxi everywhere even to just get food. Second, the room was full of bugs and other animals (one pooped on the bed and on the floor and it was HUGE). Third, and most important, the ceiling started leaking all over the room like yellow smelly liquid was all over the floor and our belongings and when we asked for complimentary laundry because our clothes were soaked in this mysterious liquid, they did nothing. There were other issues but they just don’t seem as important as those. DO NOT STAY HERE! Had to check out and switch to a new hotel.

Worth staying here
Overall the accommodations and my stay was exceptional. The food on the other hand could’ve been better, more options for vegans and more of a fruit selection other than papaya, pineapples and watermelon. The pool was freezing even in 80 degree weather. Mosquito coils were provided but a mosquito net could’ve helped. Paying for our driver should’ve also been included. But overall it was a peaceful, serene, private, clean and neat space that I loved. I would definitely stay here again.

Pool was cold. Shower was cold. Room door did not lock. Took forever to come to fix then couldn’t fix. Moving to another room now that all the bugs came in the open door. Taking forever to arrange move. Just Terrible!!!! Really horrible!!!!

We were disappointed that we did not receive the room we booked (2 br King/Queen). We were given a 3 bedroom villa that was located next to private land so were kept awake by noise from roosters and pigs. When asked to be moved to our booked room it was much better - more like 4 stars v 3 in the previous. The difference between the two rooms was very obvious, the 2 br was huge and open, although we still didn't get the beds requested for 2 adults (we got 1 king and 2 singles). The staff were lovely and the grounds also. Just disappointed that we didn't get the room we originally booked and had 3 nights (out of 5) with very little sleep.

Relaxing resort in Ubud
I stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with my wife, three year old and six month old for one week. This is really nice accommodation away from the busy Ubud centre, but only a 5-10min free shuttle from the resort. Staff were great, massages were great and the pool was awesome. The kitchen was very basic but we didn't eat at the villa very often.

The staff were very nice and very welcoming. However, the WiFi did not from the moment we arrived to the time we departed. Even though, we had told the staff about this issue, a number of times, it was still not resolved upon departure. The food was really good too.

Great private pool and villa has own secluded walled garden. The restaurant has great food at a reasonable price and all staff are lovely. Free shuttle service to town (15 minutes) several times a day. A Highly recommended escape.

beautiful resort away from the busy centers.
my wife an I stayed in the Urangayu villa, and it was beautiful. only issue we had was, it was right next to the restaurant and was a little noisy at times. everything was perfect and what we had expected for our stay. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this resort again or recommend it to all my friends. I would however ask for a different villa a little farther away from the restaurant. the staff was so polite and courteous in every way. the spa was very relaxing and very affordable. the shuttles to the Ubud Center were quick and well timed through the day. I wish we could of stayed longer as Bali had so much to offer, that we didn't have time for.

We stayed in a one bedroom villa. It had a big room and nice plunge pool. The staff were amazing and always bent over backwards to help us out. It is out of the main Ubud village so it is quiet and relaxing.

Absolutely Awesome Amazing Stay
It was our honeymoon trip, and every Minute in the resort was just perfect. The resort manager personally welcomed us at our room and the room was massive and just amazing. Swimming pool felt like a dream and we got so many romantic clicks in the pool and the garden area in our bedroom compound itself. Calm, quiet, serene atmosphere. Perfect for honeymoon and family stays. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Ubud itself is a very safe place. Will definitely go back sometime. Anand and Haya

nice hotel in the lap of nature
Ubud raya resort is a quiet lovely getaway. The main Ubud market is just a 20 min drive away and it's peaceful away from any noise. The rooms and bathrooms are well maintained with seating area outdoors for food. Only thing is there are lizards like there are all over Bali and you just need to be prepared for that - I still hate them personally & bothers me!

Charming Villa but not as peaceful as I hoped
We arrived to our villa and found that rater than a safe as most facilities provide, the only security within the room was a cabinet that locked with keys, which easily could have ben broken into. Some maintenance is needed, such as the front door to the bedroom was very finicky, you had to line it up just right for it to be ablest to lock. We spent 20 min trying to lock it the first night we were there, then finally got the hang of it. The faucet in the bathroom was loose and the water flow and temperature was inconsistent at times. This villa is nestled into farm land, the roosters and pigs are very loud and make noise all day, especially in the early morning. Positives were having our own pool and loungers, all though the pool was very small and the water didn't seem very clean. it was a shame that this wasn't a quiet place, as it would have made the experience better. Overall we still had a nice stay, we were ok with the commute into town each day and the grounds were very well kept and pretty at this villa.

Nice hotel away from Ubud central
Hotel staff were amazing and would do their best to accommodate you. The location is away from Ubud central which makes it a quiet place which is what we were looking for. There are daily shuttles to Ubud central so theres nothing to worry about if you want to make your way to Ubud central or you can just rent a bike to go around Ubud. The rooms were amazing and were very comfortable.

Perfect stay!
I highly recommend this place! The villa looks just like the pictures, beautiful, tons of space and lots of privacy. Management and staff were wonderful, very attentive, friendly and accommodating. Massage was fantastic, as was the morning breakfast that was brought to the villa each morning. You feel very taken care of here and usually only receive this type of customer service at 5 star hotels, so I was very impressed. The villa is about 15 minutes from the city center. I enjoy staying in places that are outside of the chaos of the city center, way more peaceful. Plus Wayan, the driver there was always available to take me wherever I needed to go. He is absolutely fantastic! I will definitely stay here again!

My family and I stayed at Ubud Raya Resort last week for 6 nights and found the resort to be excellent value for money. We stayed in a two bedroom villa, (Villa 2) and found to to be quite spacious. More than we had expected. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had booked their Driver, Wayan for the whole week( at a very reasonable price I might add) to take us around, and that is definitely the way to go if you are going to Bali and want to see around the island. Wayan was extremely friendly and flexible and he certainly made a difference to the trip. Although I had previously been to Bali, my family had never been before and Wayan was extremely helpful in answering questions (his english is better then he gives himself credit for) that they had about the culture, etc of Bali. Wayan was also very good with our kids, (boy 9, girl 8). The food at the resort was good, as you would expect from a resort restaurant. We are all vegan and, whilst they made every effort to accomodate our vegan needs, I think they could certainly do with adding more vegetarian/vegan options to their menu.

Beautiful private villas, friendly helpful staff.
Our taxi dropped us of at the wrong place, theres a raya hotel and raya resort, both owned by the same. This was easy fixed and the hotels driver took us to our resort villa which was 5 minutes way. On arrrival staff were very friendly, good english. The villa we had was a 2 bedroom, villa 5, and it was absolutely beautiful, very private, clean, and huge! Resort staff cleaned our room as soon as we would leave each day. At night they would come and turn down our bed and lite candles. We had breakfast included which was amazing! And brought to our villa daily at what ever time we asked them to bring it. And dinners were also very good. Prices were reasonable. The raya resort taxied us where ever we wanted to go at any time day or night we were a good 15 minutes drive out of ubud We took advantage of our 15 minute complimentary massage at there full day spa and in fact spent 2 hours there injoying the most relaxing comfortable massage i have ever had, the staff there were very friendly and the little touches such as tea with a fruit plate after wards and chocolates and a red rose on valentine's day breakfast from the staff just really gave us the luxury feel we wanted. On the down side, there were alot of bugs but we expected that as we were staying in a tropical rain forrest and there hair drier wasnt the best. We had such an amazing relaxing holiday at the raya resort and spa we rebooked for later this year to take the rest of the family. I cant wait to return!

Huge rooms with a very good facility
We book 2 bed rooms villa with private pool which the master bedroom was huge. there is another bed room separate as a villa. If you have 2 families of 4 Adults and 2-3 kids, it is suit for you! There is no main pool and restaurant which it is plus for this Resort. As there is only 10 units in this resort. How we enjoy and will come back to stay here for sure!

Lovely resort with amazing grounds and villas
I loved the fact that the resort was small and therefore more relaxing. A real taste of Bali for our personal needs, the plunge pool was great whenever you wanted to cool down without having to go anywhere. Transport to Ubud was available when ever we wanted to go in or be collected to come back to the resort. The staff catered to all our needs and gave us great advice on great places to eat, some of those we would never have found on our own.

Dying to go back...
I travel through south east Asia every summer, and this year I chose Bali. The Ubud Raya resort was by far my favorite resort on the trip...I stayed for 5 nights. The resort is made up of 8 private villas. I was traveling solo, but I LOVED having space to spread out...a private plunge pool, beautiful outdoor bathroom, kitchen and sitting area where they bring you fresh breakfast every morning...whatever you want. I felt safe and utterly taken care of. It has an authentic Bali feel, with the luxury conveniences you want on a vacation. The staff was so kind, that I felt like family. The location is just outside of downtown Ubud...maybe a 15 minute drive...but the resort has a driver, named Wayan, that is amazing and will take you wherever you need to go. I had such an amazing experience...I just can't express how wonderful, accommodating and peaceful the Ubud Raya resort was...I will definitely be back.

We had a great stay, the staff are amazingly helpful and made our stay very pleasurable. The resort was about 15 minutes out of central Ubud but they ran shuttles and had a minimal fee to collect you at any time from wherever you ended up on your travels.

Overall a very nice experience. Location is great, need to drive 10-15 mins to Ubud centre but free shuttle is provided every hour so this is really not a problem. We actually preferred to stay in this remote village location away from the city noise etc. The accommodation - 2 bdr villa is really great. Private pool was nice for our 2 children. Very secure. The food was average though. I mean not bad, but really not many choices when it comes to main meals. To be honest, in contrast to popular beliefs, food in Bali is average at the best so I guess not many complains here.

This is a really wonderful hotel. The rooms are luxurious and very spacious, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Each room has a private pool. The bath tub in my room was huge, and was open air. My favourite things about this hotel were (i) taking a bath in the evening as the stars were coming out and (ii) waking up to the sounds of birds and roosters. Very relaxing. The only down side is that the hotel is located a bit outside of town. There is a shuttle that goes to town.

I stayed here for ten nights (not long enough!) this past March and had an amazing time. It was perfect. The entire staff was exceptional as were the accommodations. The private pool was clean and thoroughly refreshing after hours in Ubud shopping (free shuttle), the included breakfast delivered to your suite every day was consistently delicious! I also ended up eating dinner here almost every night as well as it was extremely reasonable and very relaxing eating outside by the pool. The outdoor bathrooms were lovely! I will definitely be back and send hugs to all the wonderful staff!

The villa was great, real luxury. Beautiful garden, incredible outdoor bathroom, very large bedroom. But there were certain problems; it seems like although they are quite new, things are starting to break already. Had to ask them to fix two broken door handles, and a cupboard door, plus the bed broke halfway through our stay! And the pool filter didn't seem to work too well, the pool was pretty dirty and we had to keep unblocking leaves from the drain. Asked someone to fix it but not sure he understood. The staff there are all really friendly and lovely, without exception. All very keen to help, and keen to stop and chat when they see you. The food is nice, quite a basic menu and they restaurant is pretty small, but nice regardless. The spa is great, and the masseur, Astrid is lovely and does a very good Balinese massage. The hotel is 15 mins drive out of ubud. They offer a free shuttle service and were always able to drop us off and fetch us again, but when traffic's bad be warned: it can take up to an hour for the driver to get to you. If I go back to ubud in future I would probably stay a bit closer to make better use of what ubud has to offer.

Little gem in Ubud
The hotel is quite secluded.. so you might like to buy your supplies from the supermarket before you head back from your trips etc.. Rooms are very comfortable and staff are friendly. The room service meals were delicious and price were very reasonable. Since the phone is actually located outdoor, we found it abit inconvenient having to go outside to answer the phone when it rings..but it was a great stay overall.

Lovely private villa
My partner and I stayed at Ubud Raya Villa's in a two bedroom villa with another couple in Feb 2015. Set in peaceful Ubud, the villa was away from any traffic or street noise, only the sound of roosters in the morning from the local village next door. The shuttle bus was a convinient and FREE way to get to the town centre and the driver was super friendly and helpful. On one occasion we drove all over town to find the DVD we wanted and he insisted he'd help us find it. The rooms were in perfect condition, as were the gardens and the pool area. The only downful would have been the breakfast menu. Bigger meals, some milk for the tea/coffee and more healthy alternatives would have been preferable. The staff had pretty good English and made the hotel transfers and late checkout stress-free. Overall we loved our stay here and wouldn't hestitate to book again next time we come to Bali.

Amazing oasis in Ubud
We stayed for a total of 7 nights at Ubud Raya Resort in a two bedroom suite, with private pool and a huge outdoor dining/living area. We were able to organise pickup from the airport in the Resort's private car, which was really helpful. The Resort driver, Wayan was really great and ended up driving us around to Seminyak and Ubud town centre a few times during our trip. Wayan was really funny and chatty, and also told us little facts about Bali - pointing out things and answering all of our questions. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ubud Raya Resort as a beautiful place to stay in Bali. It is a little out of the way from Ubud town centre, if you do not have a scooter or car, but a ride is always easily arranged by the friendly, helpful and welcoming staff.

Nice hotel nice staff. A bit far from main area
We stayed here for 4 nights in august 2014. We got picked up from the airport for free from one of the staff who was very nice.. Once we got to the hotel we were checked in straight away.. Room was very clean and modern. Outdoor area is very nice also.. At first our water wasn't working but we called front desk and someone came to fix it straight away. It's about a 15mintue drive to the main part of ubud from the hotel.. Thought it was closer when I made the booking but wasn't a problem as you could arrange a free lift through the hotel pretty much any time you wanted.. After 6pm it will cost you money but was very cheap.. They also pick you up when you like as well. Breakfast is pretty average. The main problem for us was that the hotel was around where the locals lived and there were roosters that would wake us up at all hours of the night which was quite annoying.. Staff were very nice and always there to help.

Stayed for three nights. Price paid reflected what we got. Had water problems and twenty minutes to centre. Free shuttle made up for it but still won't come back. Especially if looking for a true resort experience and at the normal price

Nice stay at Ubud Raya
We stayed for three nights. It was very good value for money. Huge room and friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The free shuttle service was excellent and necessary as the resort is not close to central shopping area of Ubud. It is a rural location and you will hear the animals. If you enjoy total privacy, private pool, huge room, breakfast served in your own living area this is the place for you. Very comfortable bed. They were experiencing a few teething problems during our stay as the resort has only been operating for 3 weeks - that is understandable and I believe the staff are working hard to get things running smoothly.

J'avais été étonné des quelques commentaires très mauvais sur cet établissement et j'ai préféré me fier aux nombreux bon commentaires pour réserver cet hotel, j'aurais jamais du ! Cet établissement est catastrophique, on nous a donné une chambre qui n'avait rien à voir avec la chambre que nous avions réservé. La piscine ressemblait plutot à une patogeoire mal entretenue, l'eau était trouble et jamais je n'y aurais mis un pieds dedans ! La baignoire était jaune de crasse, de saleté, c'était immonde. Les draps du lit étaient tachés d'excréments d'animaux, comment l'hotel a t'il pu croire un instant que nous allions accepter la chambre sans rien dire ? Nous sommes arriver à cet hotel à 23h00 heure de BALI, impossible de joindre le service client hotel.com à cette heure ci et compte tenu du décollage horaire. Nous avons donc décidé de refuser de prendre la chambre et avous séjourné dans un autre établissement. Aujourd'hui Hotel.com refuse de me rembourser les 455 euros de location et prétend depuis 5 mois etre en attente d'une réponse de l'établissement. Celui ci ne répondra jamais et celà veut dire que je ne serais jamais remboursé ? Hotel.com continue de proposer cet hotel sur son site c'est honteux car les photos sont trompeuses et ne reflètent en aucun cas la réalité.
