This is one of my preferred accommodation in midtown NYC .. as a native New Yorker the convenience and accessibility of the property both on foot and public transportation is a prime attraction for me.

nothing special. Not even a little bit. I now NYC hotel rooms, was not expecting a suite. Inoperable HVAC system in the room that sounded like the engine room off the titanic.. Breakfast was supposedly included but when you let the restaurant folks know you had a voucher, they hand you a different menu with four items on it and the staff interaction goes COLD. The rooms are OK, but are by no means anything special. Look around...

Really liked the history of the hotel. Large lobby and entrances on two streets was handy. Lots of staff. Three restaurants made it very convenient as well. Room was very small but that was expected.

It is a very nice place in the heart of Times Square. It is a little bit loud . Easy walk to Central Park, 5 th ave.

This is my go to place in NYC! It is directly off the NW corner of Times Square and in the heart of the Broadway Theater District. It is a well maintained and updated Deco era hotel with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The Rum House downstairs is a lively jazz bar and Friedman's is a great breakfast and lunch place that also has singing servers during dinner. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful!

It was a good stay. The hotel’s location is very convenient right on Times Square. Some of the staff’s attitude could use a little improvement. But all in all, it was a satisfactory experience.

The Hotel Edison is located in the heart of the theatre district. It’s super convenient and close to many restaurants and shopping. The doormen and concierge are wonderful and the security staff are stern but nice. Even the managers are accommodating especially when the front desk agents - one woman, in particular - was not in the best mood when checking in. However, Bond 45 is great for dinner and the breakfast. The room was smaller than expected but clean with friendly housekeeping staff. The only drawback was it was somewhat noisy at night and the walls seem a bit thin. You could hear the other guests easily and the outside activities - only a few nights so it was fine given the great location!

The rooms were tiny with absolutely no room in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable but took up most of the floor space. Part of the attraction was the offer of "breakfast included". However, the breakfast was very limited with your choice of a dry breakfast sandwich or a small yogurt parfait with a tiny coffee. The hotel was in a decent location.

Staff made no flexibility in attempting to check in 1 hour early. Also , charging $1 per bag to store until room is ready seems really low class. It is not that the $1 fee is charged, but rather the fact that they have such a charge at all!!!!!

We had a pleasant stay, close by the Times Square, there was construction going on in the area wich made the passage to the hotel a liitle uncomfortable. The door to our bathroom was a little hard to manage. The cleaning staff was very good.

Stayed at the Edison 5/2 to 5/6. Room was average but very clean. Stayed on floor 4 and renovations are being done. The hallway smelled of acetone so much that we kept a towel under the doorway to keep out the smell. Location can’t be beat, free grab and go breakfast, Bond 45 bar is great!

Very professional and courteous hotel! The rooms are very well maintained and clean, privacy is top notch as well as the location near theater district to catch a glimpse of a broadway show and lots of restaurants. The hotel gives you breakfast coupons to use at nearby hotels which is also a great plus! Will definitely book with Hotel Edison in the future when visiting New York. 5/5 stars!!!

The electronic checkin was a great feature. Our room had a problem with the AC as this was shutting off automatically after about 20 minutes. Maintenance looked at it, but did not fix it (unfortunately as we “fried” overnight without AC. The property is well located and we would definitely stay there again……with AC that works!!!

Nice hotel but super noisy with construction out side the main enterance along the street all night and sounded like they were in the room. No coffee maker or fridge in the room or dresser to keep cloths for a week long trip I emailed the hotel prior to us arriving and never got a response back Good location to subway and time square along with Hell’s Kitchen area.

How do you rate noise in the hot water old room radiator? It was like Chinese torture. Everything else was great but this sporadic sharp clanging was grueling. I even recorded it. I wonder if all rooms were noisy like this we were in 618. Three nights of little sleep. I am a light sleeper. It sounded like a sledge hammer. Just when I thought it stopped it started again. At first I thought it was construction outside. Again, everything else was great! The hotel is 100 years old and this is what you get.
