"I don’t want to give it a good review because I don’t want people to know about it, but it was just amazing. Great location (walking distance from downtown Portsmouth) in a historic district. Only drawback was that it was a little too warm at night (80 degree day in May) and the thermostat couldn’t go below 67. The room was divided into two separate areas and the cool couldn’t really make it to the bedroom portion. Nevertheless, amazing place and were definitely coming back. "

"Great stay for our 2 night visit to the area. We had a car so it was easy to see the sights in and around Portsmouth. It was a bit rainy so we did not get to enjoy the beautiful backyard, fire pit and pretty garden area. The place was immaculate and tastefully decorated. A fun time was had. A microwave might have been nice to have for left overs."

"Our host was incredibly friendly and the breakfast was marvelous. A wonderful place! Only small gripe - it is a very old house and the walls and ceiling are completely transparent to sounds… so can be a bit noisy depending on who is your neighbor. "

"We stayed in main building in a private room (with its own bathroom. Matresses were state of the art & very clean room. Shared refrigerator. & kitchen near our room. Friendly hosts."

"The wife was as sweet as pie. If we had one complaint it would be not to have her husband do the check ins. For the amount of money you spend for the stay he was very off-putting during meet and greet. Almost as if we should feel privileged to be on his property. I highly recommend this place as long as you can look past the husband's crankiness."
