"Awesome stay at solitude. The staff is amazing and food is also very nice. Its very secluded and sound of river is very relaxing. They don't server liquor so make sure you get your own stuff, but they can arrange if you have not bought it but it would take some time. The river is not ideal for bath as the rocks are too slippery but you can sit at the side and enjoy tea/beer/soup. They also have small track to almost private waterfall named paritaal which is also amazing. "

A caveat- Ramgarh is not a place for shopping or adventure sports and doesn't have the hustle-bustle of Nainital, but it is a place where you can sit down, slow down and reinvigorate yourself. The view from our room's balcony was breathtaking. The room was beautiful- the wood furnishings made it a quintessential old-world cottage. The surrounding woods make for a great trekking trail. "I have stayed for 2 nights, the location and views are perfact however there is lot of room for improvement in the operation. Attention should be paid to cleanliness of the room. The quilts and linen should be comfortable. Water should be available 24 hrs. Proper breakfast should be available and served."

"This hotel can not be reached on your own. The last 1.2 kms of the hotel approach does not have a road. THIS IS NOT INDICATED ON THE HOTELS.COM site. One has to call the hotel and a 4 wheel drive vehicle is sent to carry the guests and their luggage thru an almost non existent VERY uneven road. The rooms are very small. Room does not have a telephone to contact reception. There is no room service. No tea coffee maker in the room. No place to keep a suitcase. Best to avoid this place."
