We were told numerous times by 2 sets of policemen that the area that this hotel is in is the worst area as far as crime in Barcelona. We were not aware of this when we booked. This was very concerning to us and I wish we had known that beforehand which is why I wanted to write this review. The hotel was okay, but the area was quite the opposite!

This place was great and I would definitely stay there again. Staff was fantastic. They seemed to take a great deal of pride in their hotel. Located just off La Rambla, it was easy to walk to shops and dining. Good breakfast joint a half block away. Rooms are small, but clean and recently remodeled. Well worth the price.
