Excellent service, comfort could be improved.
The service was excellent considering it is Covid times with a lot of families in the property. Masks are required throughout the whole property except for your own room and when sitting down to dine. The bed in our room however was very uncomfortable and has sunken in. Had to sleep sideways and at an angle because of the gradient. Breakfast was excellent, again considering there were many people, and they managed it very well with good safety measures like masks and rubber gloves required. Our little son enjoyed the stay very much.

A Vacation Bonus
Our stay at the Quality Hotel Skjaergarden was not in our original plans. We were in the area in order to take the ferry from Norway to Denmark. However, due to our GPS sending us around in a huge circle, we got there just in time to see our ferry depart. The ferry personnel recommended Quality. What made it stand out for us were the people who work there. They go out of their way to insure that everything is right. Also, there is an air of genuine friendliness. The next day, our ship was cancelled due to high winds. So, we spent another night at Quality. By this point, they all felt like close, dear friends. I should also mention that it was a weekend and there were lots of families with small children because attached to the hotel is a pool/water park and the kids were having a ball!

Awesome time with kids
Spent the weekend there with kids to «Get away» a couple of days. We were welcomed to a pirate themed hotel and the kids were Loving it from the first minute till the end. Great food and great pools. We Are coming back!

Comfortable hotel close to many attractions
We found the hotel to be well located, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

Not outstanding, a little overpriced, short stay
The hotel is out of the way a little but because we had a car, we chose it. In saying that, we walked into the city centre which didn't take too long. The hotel is quite dated and dark. Needs to be updated and made brighter. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and efficient with an extremely hot floor which was handy for drying our smalls. The service was good but not outstanding. The breakfast was ample with lots of choice. Car park is free and ample spaces. A bit too expensive for what you get. The dinner was tasty, if not a bit small. Menu lost in translation - sweet potato turned out to be pumpkin which I don't like. Fish was yummy - halibut.

overall to expencive for a medium hotel.
This is a hotel for families with small children, at least the pool and jacuzzi are full of them. There is no pool to swim full lenght for training. The massage service had their card at the reseption, but no one answered the phone. The explanation from the hotel was that they maybe had taken the weekend of..... The bacon for breakfast was cremated. This is a hotel were the management and staf just coulden't care less. What a disappointment.

We stayed at the hotel because it was a reasonable distance from the Oslo Airport and we were beginning a driving trip through Norway. It is in an attractive location on the south coast. It has ample free parking. The staff was helpful. The breakfast and dinner were very good. The building is a little run-down. It would be a good place for families with a pool and activities. It appears that Norwegian families may be the main clients. We also had difficulty finding the hotel

Worth a visit.
Extremely friendly reception and a lovely place to stay even though it was just 1 night in my case. Beautiful location just metres back from a lovely beach and we were treated very well. No issues with any aspect - felt comfortable and welcome throughout.

Utslitt rom, bra mat.
Dobbeltsengen i familierommet vi hadde var knappe 140 cm bred,slitt og dårlig kvalitet. Putene var klumpete. Maten var topp og var deilig at det var mye for barn å finne på.

Flott opphold med nydelig mat!
Vi hadde et flott opphold på Skjærgårdshotellet! Ble møtt av hyggelig betjening og rommet var rent og pent. Middagsbuffeten på kvelden var nydelig og drinkene det samme! Det var fullt av folk i badelandet, men likevel god plass til å boltre seg. Det gikk også fint i garderobene. Burde vært hyller til å sette skoene i. Alle setter skoene sine utover hele gulvet ved inngangen til garderobene. Ved utsjekk er det fint om resepsjonistene kan minne om å betale parkeringen på automaten i gangen på hotellet. Det glemte vi, men kom på det når vi var nede ved bilen. Totalt sett et flott opphold! Kan virkelig anbefales for både småbarn, litt større barn og voksne!
