Delta Air Lines customers now have access to a number of new flights and perks, as the carrier has announced its new partnership with Canadian budget airline WestJet.
The agreement between the arlines allows any customer of either company to purchase connecting flights on one ticket, rather than doing so separately. This also offers more convenience for Indian travelers in North America, as all boarding passes and baggage tags will remain under one flight reservation.
This also benefits members of Delta's rewards program, as they have the opportunity to build and redeem points when they use the services of either carrier.
"Delta is pleased that its customers now have easy access to WestJet's extensive Canadian network, as well as WestJet's trans-border services between Canada and the United States," vice president of Delta Alliances Hugh Dunleavy said in a statement.
Effective immediately, the agreement offers customers connections at more than 25 destinations in North America. This is particularly attractive to business travelers who are flying internationally for work.
