Catch flights faster than ever - American Airlines Travel News

Over the past several years, India has become an increasingly popular travel destination for American tourists. The feeling may be mutual as well, as a number of Indian travelers will be heading to the U.S. this summer to explore popular destinations like New York, Los Angeles and Orlando. Travelers boarding American Airlines flights out of Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport may find themselves in some unfamiliar surroundings, as the airline has relocated is daily flights to the newly renovated and state of the art Terminal 3.

American, a founding member of the oneworld Alliance(R), chose to move to the new facility in a push to improve pre-flight conditions for existing passengers and possibly lure in more Indian travelers to its service.

"We are delighted to make this move because it improves the travel experience for our valued customers," Raj Sidhu, American's U.S.- India Sales Manager, said in a statement. "Departing passengers will benefit from specially-designed and dedicated U.S. departure gates where security-related formalities will be completed efficiently and comfortably."

Sidhu claims that the new surroundings will also make for quicker and easier connections once domestic flights begin operating out of Terminal 3 in late August.
