Indian travelers don't need much of a reason to spend weekend getaways in Thailand. The lovely country
boasts scenic natural beauty perfect for adventure travel and exciting cities ideal for
shopping holidays. Now, Indian travelers may be
able to explore this East Asian paradise for less money than they
expected, thanks to newly announced discounts on Thai Airways flights.
By teaming up with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Thai Airways
will begin offering discounted fares on flights coming from more
than 30 cities between July 15 and September 30. The promotion is a
part of the "Thailand Today" campaign, a new campaign meant to
celebrate the 50th anniversary of Thai Airways by encouraging
travel to and from their homeland.
The move is expected to draw roughly 40,000 international visitors
and benefit the local tourism industry to the tune of 2 billion
Baht.
More cheap Thai Airways flights could open up a new
world of exploration to international travelers, as saving money on
airfares will allow them to stay in nicer establishments, buy more
souvenirs and even dine in fine restaurants.
