would always check destination for a Fairmont Hotel
The Fairmont Hotel offered all that a top class hotel should very friendly and attentive staff nothing was ever too much trouble, choice of dinning for breakfast in main restaurant or pool side for the healthy option. The bedroom was very large with a balcony over looking the city which is rare. Ideal location for shopaholics you can visit three malls without having to go outside ! and the the metro is about 2 mins away going to all popular destinations.

Great - child friendly hotel
The fairmont staff were very attentive, and did a good job of selling us an room upgrade - but the better room was great. The hotel was very welcoming of children; the lobby staff gave our child a small soft toy, which was a thoughtful guesture.

Ghost shower
Arrived from Auckland at around 7pm. Went to bed around 11pm - very tired. Woke up a little later as water was running in the bathroom. Turned out the water came from level above. Called roomservice who called maintenance - but did not express regrets. Maintenance man said water was due to blocked pipes in bathroom above. Roomservice/lobby (Was too tired to notice which) called to ask if we wanted to change rooms. Accepted. Said we should call back when ready to move (repacking). Bellboy came with keys for new room. Did not offer to carry the luggage. Had to ask him. New room on same floor, but looking right into another high-rise building and was stale-smelling. When checking out next day to fly to Frankfurt, nobody said they were sorry or even asked if we had a pleasant stay (which would have permitted us to explain what happened). Have stayed at Singapore Fairmont on several occasions and feel that service level has dropped.
