I've been traveling for 3 weeks now. This was my 5th hotel, unfortunately I have to say it is not a "4 star hotel". Great breakfast selection (buffet) Staff was amazingly friendly BUT: -Our room didn't look like the pictures online -Shower didn't have a door, so all the water was splashing everywhere...the floor ended up dirty and slippery -Most uncomfortable bed. I felt like I was sinking on it and it was soo squeaky -Didn't change linens. My husband spilled a little bit of soda on the sheets. Next day when we came back to the room the bed still had the same sheets with the soda stain -How come a 4 star hotel doesn't have water in the room mini fridge?

It was an average stay, not sure why this hotel has 4stars?! Nice pool, friendly staff and good quality breakfast, but other than that it is a very basic accommodation. Squeaky, small bed, definitely two small for 2 people to sleep comfortably, stained towels, barely working AC, poor wi-fi in the rooms. The worst was the smell in the afternoons- sewers and a ridiculous red light on the control panel, lighting so bright at night that I had to sleep with an eye mask on. Poor service as well, very little toiletries not replenished at all, empty mini bar, not even a bottle of water on arrival, no iron in the room and nobody to bring it to the room. Coffee at breakfast was terrible and espresso available by purchase only, not served to the table- had to wait at the bar to get it, while the staff member was doing other things while making coffee. Overall I think it’s a good 2 max. 3 star hotel.

Friendly staff
Such a friendly and helpful hotel staff! Front desk helped with all our needs from finding excursions to finding covid test sights. Location was perfect, a short walk to many restaurants and bars, even the beach was near by. Definitely recommend this property!

The staff at the front desk were excellent. The breakfast was very nice and consisted of good and high quality food. The parking was easy. The location of the hotel was a short walking distance from the supermarket and the beach which was very convenient. The bathrooms were not what we expected. The showers did not have real doors and water would go everywhere. Cleanliness was not up to the expectations that they charged for these rooms. The pool was big and clean. Overall just ok for the money that they charge. Could be better if rooms were cleaner and showers had real doors.

This is a very nice hotel. The pictures and reviews do not justify how nice it actually is. All members of staff were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. Even the kitchen staff and cleaners were really friendly and nice. The food was amazing, which is very important. Our room had a surprise balcony which was fab. We are very, very pleased and will come back. It was lovely. The pool was amazing. Thank you, Koukounaria!

The Koukounaria is very well situated, peaceful but only 5 minutes walk from the beach. It has a lovely big pool, spa pool and kiddies pool with plenty of sun loungers. Our economy room was well equipped, including a small kitchen area, and a balcony. The bathroom was very inconvenient in that it flooded everytime someone had a shower, there was no shower curtain and a drain in the middle of the floor from which water would rise, so be prepared for a constant wet room. Breakfast was a very nice comprehensive buffet of hot and cold food

Spacious and friendly hotel
Family of 4 with a 6 and a 7 year old. Great location (5 minutes walk from Alykes centre and beach). We loved the 3 pools: kids, jacuzzi and big pool. Lots of inflatables available for everyone to use. Lovely food from the pool/cafe during the day. Good range of buffet food at breakfast and the Lino restaurant is nice (though a little more pricey than some v nice restaurants nearby). There’s a little park next to the restaurant for children to play in while they’re waiting for their food. Plenty of room and sunbeds round the pool (so nice to not have towels everywhere reserving spots!). Helpful staff, very clean (room cleaned each day). Useful note: there’s a bus timetable in reception (we asked how much the hotel minibus would be to go to the big waterpark as we had friends with us, we were quoted €35 each way (for 10 people). There is a bus that goes locally for €1.80 per adult, kids free). Great holiday.

A Great Hotel! Great Value for Money!
I have just come back from a stay at Koukounaria and absolutely loved it, it had everything we wanted and needed for a holiday for three couples. Rooms (“stylish”) were a really good size, we even had a spare sofa bed. We received an air conditioning remote upon check-in which was an absolutely must during a week when temperatures didn’t drop below 28 degrees at night and 34 through the day. Lovely view from the balcony, all very comfortable for a weeks stay. The staff were fantastic! Anna, Katerina, Tim and Dennis were the stand out. They couldn’t do enough for us, so helpful and approachable and such good fun at the same time. It really made a difference! The hotel arranged taxis for us for day trips and visits we were planning and the cost was reasonable (c25e for 4 people two ways). Airport transfers very smooth and made the whole trip so simple. The view of the green hills behind you as you swim in the pool is stunning and something you never tire of. Lovely location just out of the town but only a five minute stroll. We all agreed we would go back to the hotel which is something we do not always have a desire to do. Thank you Koukounaria!!

Lovely clean hotel, short walk to main street and bars - large room with lovely shower. Great pool and poolside bar does amazing gyros and frosty beers. We had a few small issues with our room on arrival but these were all fixed immediately - very friendly staff

Lovely hotel but not what was expected of a 4 star. Service staff were very polite and helpful but reception looked like they weren’t listening and managed to mix up our return to the airport. Be very careful they do not offer a free taxi service unless booked through them but we managed to sort it out. We upgraded our room but couldn’t see anything different to a standard room so don’t waster your money unless your going for a suite.

Nice hotel!
We enjoyed our recent stay at the hotel, which has a great pool and is close to restaurants and a nice sandy beach. Rooms were clean, and the service was friendly. We would have preferred more variety for breakfast and lunches, and our view from the balcony was a little obscured by some overgrown foliage, but these are minor criticisms compared to our overall good experience.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel.Hotel needs to be updated. I could feel the springs from the bed matress and for 135 euros a night to have most of the amenities for free(in room safe 3 euros a day!)no iron and ironing board provided, towels were changed after the 4th day! As a father of three young girls they didn't have a key to lock the w.c. door but after my complain they brought a key. Hotel staff are polite and professional but hotel in general needs to be upgraded a lot to become a 4 star.

Great Location and lovely staff
The rooms were pleasant and had everything we needed. The staff were lovely and helpful, and were quick to find information about the various activities we wanted to do if they did not already know. They were also very accommodating when our flight was delayed and provided a lovely room for us. It was a great place for a pool day with the snack bar serving a variety of dishes, drinks and icecreams. It was also a short walk from the main bars, restaurants, shops and the beach. Thank you!

Mooi en schoon hotel, op een mooie lokatie. Lekker rustig en afgeschermd van de drukte; maar dan tocht dichtbij restaurants, winkeltjes en strand (op loop afstand). Ons balkon had uitzicht op zee en bergen; prachtig om met dit uitzicht iedere ochtend wakker te worden. Schoon en relatief groot zwembad met meer dan genoeg bedden en een prachtig uitzicht op bergen. Genoeg parkeerplek voor de auto’s. Heel erg vriendelijk personeel. Van reception (Michael) tot restaurant bediening (Marialena) tot moeder en dochter room-cleaning dames, iedereen was lief, vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf.

Die Zimmer sind sauber und haben einen schönen Balkon. Stauraum ist leider sehr begrenzt (Keine Kommode, keine Schubladen, nur ein offenes Regal) Leider kommt es im Bad speziell am Morgen zu extremer Geruchsbelästigung (trotz immer offenen Badefenster), vermutlich über den im Boden eingelassenen Ablauf)

Bella struttura in posizione tranquilla ma strategica, a cinque minuti dal centro e dalla spiaggia. Camera pulita e attraente, condizionatore nuovo e silenzioso, letto comodo e balcone con vista. Hotel à côté de la plage très agréable. Quelques problèmes de wifi lors du séjour car celui est instable et quelques erreurs de propreté de la chambre également (gel douche d’ancien client ouvert présent sur place, carte Pokémon présent derrière le lit et poussière sous le lit présente).la climatisation dans le salon de la suite S31 fonctionne mal également. Le service du petit déjeuner et demi pension est très bien cependant. Le gros point positif de cet hôtel reste à mon sens le personnel qui y travaille et qui est formidable et s’assure que tout se passe bien, je pense notamment à Konstantinos à l’accueil et Demy et Marina notamment lors des repas qui sont formidables. Le piscine est grande et propre. Je recommande ainsi cet hôtel.
