Lovely location, great breakfast in a nice garden, access to bottled water. Over all a great stay. No air conditioning, however having stayed there in the summer, it was not an issue as the rooms had fans and were cool.

Amazing hotel and wonderful staff
It was an amazing hotel with awesome service. Very clean. Great character in the architecture and a beautiful and tranquil garden. You are in the center of everything. I felt very safe, walked around by myself day and night. Warm inviting environment and atmosphere, friendly people, police presence, parks, artwork, murals, lots of restaurants and shopping. Only thing that I did not notice before going is that they only speak Spanish. However, the front desk attendant helped to interpret with google translate. Also the people there spoke predominantly Spanish. I know a small amount of Spanish, so I was able to get by. I would definitely stay at hotel if ever back in the area.

Hermoso y cómodo hotel. El personal era super amable, el restaurante muy rico, la suite es enorme y tiene todo lo que necesitábamos. Ofrecen servicio de lavandería. Nuestro único problema fue que era difícil encontrar estacionamiento ya que el hotel con cuenta con ello y el área es muy concurrida. Fuera de eso, nuestra estancia aquí fue excelente.

Posada del cafeto.
Its an older but quaint hotel. The hotel staff is super friendly. I extended my stay here. The orange juice is the best ive ever had anywhere. Very nice location. Streets are very narrow here and very hilly

The hotel has a lovely courtyard. The staff is courteous and the rooms are always clean. Do be aware, however, that the rooms are noisy and you will hear everything your neighbors are doing. Close to Xalapa centro. Good value.

I loved the beautiful garden and típico architecture. The staff was awesome, super friendly, helpful, and completely service oriented. They made sure the room was always stocked on coffee and sugar. They made sure everything was clean and was well put together when you returned. The culture oriented climate was also a major plus!

I liked the atmosphere of the courtyard. I liked the location and proximity to the centro historico. I took the breakfast option and it was ok. I would have liked to have both juice and coffee in the morning.The limited choice was the same for each day and became boring by the fourth morning.

Nice, centrally located small hotel
Our stay there was a very good one. The hotel is very centrally located and the outdoor areas are very nice. The only thing that affected the comfort is the lack of air conditioning, and being in the upper floor, the heat accumulated badly during the day, making it uncomfortable to be inside. Other than that it's a very nice hotel that I would definitely recommend. They have free purified water (all that you want, on refillable jars instead of contaminating small bottles) and coffee service in the room, that you find in higher priced hotels.

Charming hotel on the edge of downtown Xalapa
Stayed for 7 night at the Posada del Cafeto, the staff was very nice and attentive. The restaurant inside the hotel services delicious enchiladas. The location is perfect to walk to parks, coffee shops, or restaurants in downtown.

Beautiful setting in Xalapa
The hotel staff was extremely nice and very accommodating. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. It’s located near downtown with easy walkability to everything. The only thing that could use improvement are the hard beds. But overall, great place, great price.

Charming, but noisy
This is a sweet and charming place with an inviting patio. But its loud, really loud. I tried to get some work done while sitting on the patio, but was unable to concentrate due to volume of guests and staff talking, and an incessantly whistling workman. I don't want to fault the staff, they were all lovely. I think that it has more to do with the acoustics of the place.

The room had excellent internet, more cable channels than usual, flat screen tv, good hot water with pressure in the shower, a pitcher in the room to refill from a large bottle in the lobby, a small safe, outlets where we needed them, a 12 cup coffee pot, non disposable coffee cups and glasses, 2 bath towels one hand towel one bath mat no washcloths, shampoo in a wall dispenser which was also good as body wash, and beds a bit solid but ok. There was a short bar with hangers for half a dozen pieces of clothing and a coat rack on the wall, but no luggage rack or dresser. It is quiet, away from traffic, but it is possible to hear neighbors if they are noisy. There are quite a lot of steps within the facility if that is an issue including the entry to the hotel from the street. The entry door is kept locked with someone always there. I found this hotel agreeable in every way except for the moldy smell in the room which was strong enough at times to be truly annoying.

Xalapa Hotel
Nice, clean, spacious rooms with good shower pressure and hot water. Convenient location for walking to city sights, parks and a variety of restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful, however, they do not speak much English. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

A comfortable hotel, with lovely gardens, professional staff. Our room was a little crowded with two beds. We were able to see much mor spacious rooms, some the size of apartments. The hotel is located in an alley, which minimizes traffic, but parking is rarely available. When we were there- Dec 2015-we paid 117 pesos per day at a safe lot several blocks away. We enjoyed our stay.

Lots of style and great value
I loved the look of the hotel: the colonial style of the building, the patio with the flowering shrubs and cast iron benches, the dark wooden furniture, everything just fitted. The hotel doesn't have any fancy amenities (business center, pool, minibar or irons), but it's excellent value and does have a great location. Breakfast in the hotel was not included and comparatively expensive (60 Pesos for a continental breakfast), yet it was convenient. I would definitely go back there and recommend it to anybody travelling to Xalapa for a vacation.

My favorite hotel in Xalapa.
My favorite hotel in Xalapa. A very quiet spot just a few blocks from the governor's palace and the zocalo. Lots of very hot water and a very good breakfast. Very secure as well.

The location of this hotel is excellent for business purposes, nearby public offices. Some aspects leave to be desired: many rooms with insufficient natural lighting or view, breakfast with some menu options unavailable, amenities reduced to the bare minimum,no acceptance of American Express, wifi with insufficient capacity. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great location for a downtown stay. Very good breakfasts and lovely reception staff. Unfortunately, there is very little sound insulation between the rooms. The setting is very 1960's Florida or California. No AC and little ventilation.
