Upon looking up your reservation date I did not find any in house notes indicating any problems or facility issues during your stay so we are puzzled as to what led to a low score. We are sorry to hear your stay was "disappointing" but we can assure you and anyone reading this that this is a very safe area. We have security cameras installed all over the property to encourage people to always be on their best behavior. We have live in staff to accommodate our guests 24/7 in the event of an emergency or a late night lock out in the overnight hours. We also have a great relationship with the local police department that is literally 2 minutes down the road. We find your "perceived lack of safety" comment to be unjust. This is a 1960's roadside motel that up until it was purchased a few years ago had zero updates, we have been working to the best of our financial ability to make improvements over the last few years and unfortunately 100% of those improvements have not happened yet. If any future guest normally would preferer chain lodging and city lights we unfortunately are not for them but the photos of our property reflect that, it's not new information.

We have been making improvements to modernize our rooms as we are able to, in almost all rooms we have replaced the original 1960's sinks so a few things don't line up aesthetically but we plan to do full bathroom remodels at some point in the future. So sorry to hear of this oversight! All previously reserved rooms are to be ready by 3pm, which includes turning on heat during winter months, unless a guest specifies a later check in then the staff will wait to turn it on. While I hope this does not happen to you again in the future we do have emergency space heaters on hand that can be used in addition to the room heaters to bring room temps up quickly, please don't hesitate to ask for one if you feel there is a problem. Very sorry for the inconvenience.

Sorry to hear you had a wifi issue, sometimes the extenders need to be reset if they aren't working properly after a service interruption but we don't know there is a problem if it isn't immediately brought to our attention as we have separate internet for the office. Alternatively you may be actually connecting to an extender that is not near your room, a restart of your device's wifi adapter will usually connect you to the closest access point. Hope this helps you at a potential future stay!
