"I always enjoy staying at this hotel when I travel to Staunton to attend a show at the Blackfriars Playhouse. It’s right next door and centrally located to everything. It has a big parking garage and I just park my car there when I arrive and do everything on foot while I’m there. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Staying here is part of the formula that makes up my perfect getaway weekend. "

"The hotel is very nice, and the staff very courteous, however the shower drained very slowly and the toilet would not flush very well. As well, the other guest were loud and rude. We had to call the front desk twice and it wasn’t until long into the night when the loud talking ended. The staff did respond to our request to address our complaints. "

"Checkin was at 3. Got there at 3:30. Room was not ready and no ETA when it would be. The lobby was full of people waiting for their rooms. Not enough help at front desk. At one point there were 10 people in line. Better pool hours would be nice for the early risers. No towels at the pool. No bedding for the sofa bed. If the room is booked for 6 people, there should be 6 bath towels in the bathroom."

Outdoor sofas seemed the attract inconsiderate guests with stinking cigars and trash left behind.
