Had a great stay in Dulles, the last place I expected it. Arrived late and thought the restaurant was closed, which it was, but they brought me a full menu and had great food with attentive service right at the bar watching football.
The rooms here, as with all under the Hyatt Place brand, are not especially attractive to the eye, but as comfortable as can be -- good for sleeping, good for working, good for lounging, and spacious. The staff was generally excellent, but one late night clerk wanted to tell me her whole life story. She was pleasant enough, but not professional.
The Hilton next to Dulles is an exquisite hotel. Some opportunities:
1. The staff did not inform where breakfast is going to be at check-in
2. Being informed about breakfast not being included would have helped and the typical cost of breakfast before hand to evaluate options.
3. The elevator has a broken mirror wall that has been patched up with tape - not sure if being fixed but it does ruin brand and imagery. Attending to these matters asap is a must.
We were very happy with this Hotel. Staff more than helpful in every way and always cheerful. Accommodation spacious and comfortable. Breakfast ample and varied. Lovely complimentary offer of dinner in the evening from Monday to Thursday. We will definitely stay again when next in Washington DC. Shuttle was available whenever we asked and we were able to then take public transport in to the Mall. .
