Fiji Gateway Hotel

"Only good for overnight stays as opposite the airport. But more expensive than other hotels past the airport. Good pool but lacking seating. Gets taken quite fast. Restaurant service was painfully slow. Got my food after an hour wait. Not very energy efficient as all rooms have aircon going with the louvers windows open next to the front door. What a waste of energy. Room was ok with good amenities. Would I stay again yes but only overnight. My other hotel on the main road was far better and cheaper."

"Staff weren’t overly friendly!! Often ignored for a period of time when wanting a table (staff busy talking to other staff and on the computer) Be prepared to pay top dollar for shuttles for excursions as a lot don’t offer a pick up from this resort being quite a wee way from everything. Bar staff were very helpful and bubbly, the most part a neat place to visit"

"I got the Bungalow with private pool and Butler service. There are no words to describe how amazing this place was. Well worth every $ spent. By the second day the whole staff knew us by name and said Bula everytime we met. The bungalow was very roomy and the pool clean. The resort has a wonderful landscaping with flowers in bloom all over. The buggy rides to places on the resort were very helpful being I had a bad ankle. If you go make sure you book a spa treatment. The place is outstanding. I think we might have been there at the wrong time , I was disappointed in the fruit selection. The IVI sea food place was the best ever. The crab cakes with the sauce was out of this world. I was very sad to leave. Very clean, friendly,peaceful and beautiful. There was even an adult pool and bar and restaurant."
Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa

"The Fiji Hilton is at a great location! It’s very close to Port Denarau and convenient for boat transfers. The rooms are right on the beach and right next the water. We chose a room with a kitchen and laundry, which was incredibly helpful! It’s not a great site to snorkel off the beach, but it’s a nice walking beach for finding shells! The pools were a great bonus for our 6yr old. Unfortunately, there was a lot of construction happening in the resort. It was kind of hard to relax at the pool with a jack hammer noise close by."

"This is the ultimate Fijian experience. Away from Western style resorts this was Fijian in appearance and relationships. Staff are genuinely friendly. The buildings are covered by lush trees and gardens. It's the ultimate kick back and relax resort where you can just laze by the pool. Dinners at night were under a canopy of clear skies and fairy lights on sand outside. Breakfast was generous and varied. Eating there was cheap cheap cheap. The only downside is the flies at the pool and mosquitoes so bring the Aerogard."
