THEY DID NOT RUN THE AIR CONDITIONERS! WE HAD THE WORST DAY IN OUR LIFE AT THIS HOTEL. HAD TO USE WET TOWELS TO COOL OURSELVES. MY WIFE ALMOST ENDED UP IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM!

Had a great experience at this hotel! I stopped for a break before heading to Italy and everything was amazing! Close to the train station, clean rooms, nice staff, coffee in the room was great! Great value! Thank you!

Very Comfortable and Central Location
The hotel is centrally located and easy to get to. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The restaurant and bar located in the hotel are great.

A fine hotel in central Villach
I've stayed here several times and there's very little to fault about this hotel. The location is central but with plenty of parking available in the underground garage. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipt. The staff polite and helpful. The room during my last stay had a great view out across the city. This is always my first choice hotel when I come to Villach. My only criticism is that the breakfast room can be quite crowded, although the staff do a good job at quickly clearing tables when poeple leave. In the summer this isn't a problem because there is additional seating outside.

Comfortable option in small town.
Very comfortable hotel with excellent breakfast. Staff very helpful. Free motorcycle parking. HOWEVER, watch out for extra $50 charge for second person in a double room. Rates quoted are for single occupancy.

Nice location, easy to find. Seems like a fairly new hotel. Only odd thing was Parking. The details reference "Self Parking" with an asterisk. The actuality is that it is public lot that you pay for the parking ticket at a reduced rate at the Front Desk. SO just need to remember when coming and going to go to the Hotel Front desk.

The area is amazing and overall the Hotel was wonderful. The service at the Bar was less then desirable as the staff was very rude toward people from US. The staff at the counter was courteous and gave us directions to local sites. We traveled with kids and it was wonderful town.

Respite at the Holiday Inn
The Holiday Inn at Villach was a very pleasant overnight stay for us. It is located only about three blocks from the train station so a very easy walk. We arrived earlier than check-in but were able to store our bags for a couple hours. The room was very comfortable and decorated nicely. Both the TV and WIFI were very good. Just across the bridge over the Drava River is the center of Villach with shops and restaurants. We did not use. The restaurant, bar or breakfast at the hotel so I can’t speak to that. But, there was coffee, tea, mini-bar, and a frig in the room which was nice. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Great central, clean, modern hotel. The breakfast is slightly pricier though, along with the bar food. There are no extras that come with the room for toiletries other than the basic shampoo/body wash combo.

A beautiful place right on the river Drau with a lovely bar, first class restaurant and all the amenities you could ask for. Underground parking at a reasonable rate is accessible from the hotel elevators. The rooms are large enough and well appointed and the baths are fine.

Good location for touring Carinthia.
Although the Holiday Inn is a glossy looking business hotel, it has a certain style and level of comfort for holiday makers as well as business users. Staff are friendly and helpful and evening meals are good . Nice terrace overlooking river for warmer days. Whilst they may lack "olde world charm", rooms are functional, well equipped to a high standard and comfortable. There's also a good bar and lounge area. Breakfast is extortionate but with plenty of cafés within a 5min walk, this was not an issue.

Wonderful experience
The breakfast was one of the best I've had. The staff and management are really nice. The room is well laid out and the view also ng the river is all I could wish for.
