We liked how closed the property was to Saint Marks Square. The room was very large. We liked the continental breakfast and the friendliness of the staff. What we didn’t like was, there was a strange smell in the hall to our room and we found the bed uncomfortable.

Check in took a long time and we were starving. Unit was in a different building which was kinda of difficult but the view of the canal was gorgeous
This hotel is a hidden gem in San Marco. I have stayed here many times. The location is PERFECT as it is very close to everything AND on a canal. The canal view rooms are spectacular and very spacious. The decor is a trip back in time and the outdoor courtyard is a beautiful spot to enjoy some downtime. Friendly staff always and very helpful with airport and train station transfers right to the door!

They should make an update in the rooms. Old is different than old and kind of dirty and damaged.
Well located hotel in Venice, faces one of the canals which is very convenient if you take a water taxi from the airport. If you take the vapor erro it is also convenient, just a short walk. Excellent shopping around, piazza San Marco really close.

We spent 4 nights at Hotel San Moise in a family room (2 adults and 2 kids). The room was located in an annexe around the side of the hotel and across the pretty courtyard. The room itself worked well for our family (1 double and 2 single beds) and had a great view across a small canal which was a main thoroughfare for gondalas. Unfortunately it was also the main thoroughfare for the refuse collection barge and several delivery boats that would noisily arrive early every morning :-). The hotel is excellently located 3 mins walk from San Marco Square. It had a lot of character, was charming and traditional in design, but it was very tired and in need of updating.

We booked our stay at Hotel Moise, but we were taken to its sisters hotel around the corner. The family ages ranged from 6-81 years old. There were both pros and cons to our stay. The Pros was it was very close to all the shopping. High end stores and etc. It was also a few blocks away from the central square. The hotel waa very close to so many restaurants . We choose this hotel because it was close to a dock and we could get water taxi to pick is up with all our suit cases. We only spent two night there and it was okay for us. now the cons...The rooms smelled of mold and neesed to be aired out. We seemed to have no control of the a/c . Your room was either cold or hot. The sinks and tub water took forever to go down. Some of the rools were roomy while other you barely had room to walk around your bed. The breakfast was okay.

AC Problems !!
The Location was a centric, the staff was nice and the breakfast was good. The rooms def need an upgrade. It does have an italian 80s feel. My biggest disappointment was the AC barely working. Although they responded quickly and put in a portable AC, due to the high ceilings and window open for the exhaust, it barely cooled. The front desk explained it was because of the heat but it was not. They need to put in a new AC system or get it fixed. It was VERY hot during this time but I stayed in other places in Italy and in Airbnbs and I did not have this problem because the AC units were more updated! We had a canal view that we’re unable to enjoy since we had curtains closed due to preventing the sun from coming in due to our lack of AC. My family stayed in other rooms and their AC wasn’t very cool. We paid about $300 night for an old room with musty AC and a fire we couldn’t enjoy. Not to mention that every morning at 6am, all vendors will dock by that canal to unload their good therefore you will hear all the work happening all the people talking /yelling ….

Review from 1 stay 7/6/23
Was decently clean- comforters or room seemed a little dusty. Front desk woman was semi helpful. Wouldn’t have wanted to stay more than the 1 night. The breakfast and breakfast crew were amazing though!
No elevator and room was on second floor. Not too bad…right? Wrong. 48 steps to our second floor room. The hallways had a bad smell, the room was the size of a closet, dark and clostrophobic. Very disappointing…but, very clean! Bathroom was nice. Amazing location close to St Marks, elite shops and great restaurants with water taxi stop right out front door! Sara at front desk was a DOLL and AC was fantastic!
Our room was perfect! The staff were accommodating and so nice. We would have loved to stay longer. The courtyard was lovely and it is so convenient to shopping and San Marco square.
The charm was perfectly picturesque, the canal, the view, the seating area and all the details in the room. Our balcony room was stunning. We would return in a heartbeat and wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for a pleasant stay.
Beautiful, quaint, feels like going back in time while being here. Beautiful Courtyard! Walking distance to absolutely everywhere in San Marco. I have stayed at this hotel several times and it doesn’t disappoint! Get the Canal view it is worth it.

Good location, breakfast could be better, reception staff at the front desk were not very friendly.
This hotel is amazing. Such a great location and easy to find. Front desk staff was great, especially Andrea. Breakfast was good. We had the luxury canal view with balcony room 109 which was so beautiful. This had the best view, such a great thing to wake up to.

The location was decent (right on a canal) but the area immediately around it wasn't really much of anything; however, there were a lot of expensive shops close by (Gucci, Chanel, etc) which was surprising. Hotel was very close to St. Mark's Square which was our reason for staying there. Getting to the hotel from the water taxi was a HUGE hassel as well. Winding through tiny roads/walk ways and up and down a TON of stairs to cross the canals but that is to be expected in Venice. Would NOT be doable for someone with mobility issues however you can rent water taxis to pick up and drop off closer but it isn't cheap. 1 way from the canal outside the hotel to the train station was 80 Euros for 2 people. 60 for a location that was about a 5 minute walk. Hotel was quite old. There is no lift/elevator so be aware of that. Beds were hard and pillows were terrible but the property seemed to be clean though I'm quite certain I got bites from bed bugs at this hotel. Breakfast was quite nice and was a traditional European breakfast. Overall it's ok for the price but you get what you pay for. But I would not stay here again but the people were very nice
Be careful with this hotel, the stuff are rude and try to cheat u. And get money for no reason . Make sure u have a photo from the room u did reserved otherwise they ask u for cash to give u better room ( that’s already is ur room )
Make sure about ur personal items as well. Mine was disappeared and I reported to the Police in Venice.
I’m not go that hotel anymore. Never 👎
The decor and overall feel of the property were a work of art. The staff was so friendly and helpful, even giving us advice on how to get to our next stop. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. Overall a very charming place to stay if you're in the Venice area.

Great location. Big room but small bathroom. Very Venetian feeling of room with big glass chandelier. Bed was ok but pillows were so hard. They did provide a better one when asked. Helpful staff. Breakfast not worth eating.
Bad bed, too hot, same breakfast, staff not knowledgeable for good recommendations, tiny bathroom, no view. Horrid tv reception. Am relieved to have left
Have stayed here three times now. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned and replenished daily and breakfast was great. Rooms are small (standard room) but perfectly adequate, and this time there was a minibar and tea/coffee making facilities in the room which I hadn’t had in previous years… loved that!! Location is really central to everything also.

Very close to San Marco Bascilica. Great location and staff very friendly
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They arranged water taxis and had our rooms ready early. The breakfast was good and have a few nice selections to choose from. The beds/pillows were very hard. It is an older property but I loved the charm.
Good simple hotel, old fashioned furnishings, popular with families. Excellent location but also quiet. Our room was small for three people but that was not unexpected given the central location and the price. Breakfast was good and generous (plentiful) at the price.
It is a beautiful hotel with an excellent location, steps away from the main places of interest, gondola services and restaurants, a friendly staff, an appetizing breakfast, neat rooms. I definitely recommend it for a beautiful Venice experience.
