In general this hotel was fine for the price. It is tough to maintain properties in Venice so there are some condition issues. An unstaffed front desk with a front door that is often left ajar and unsecure was concerning. The location is convenient but it is a little noisy. I always bring a white noise machine when I travel and I'm definitely glad I did this time. The cleaning staff does a good job and they are pleasant. The one thing that really bothered me was that I was overcharged for the city tax. At first they tried to charge me for every night that I was there but you are only required to pay up to 5 days (I was in Venice for ten days). They also charged me the rate for a 3 star hotel instead of the rate for a 2 star hotel. It was only a small amount so I didn't press the issue but staff should know the laws and rates.

Close to train station. There is no reception at the property they make you walk to another hotel to check in and check out. Gave a lot of attitude and was highly disrespectful. We had four bags we had to drag back and forth just to check in. Asked for a room on ground floor before hand, did not give to us so we had to take our four bags up 3 floors to our room. Did not feel safe at all because no one was at front desk of hotel so people were able to come and go because the door was not always closed

Avoid this hotel. The bathroom was disgusting between the dead bugs, mold and other issues it was difficult to stay in there long enough to brush my teeth. No elevator with narrow stairs. Need to check in at a hotel down the street according to a cryptic note left on the counter or on the door. Location near the train station is a plus, but not worth the gross room. Lots of other choices. Spend a few extra bucks and you will be much happier.

Excellent location. Decent breakfast for 5 EUR. Good room, with AC. Staff should me more prepared to avoid queues. In the check in, there was only 3 people ij front of me, but took me almost 45 minutes.

Because the covid19 pandemic Italy was completely close on May 2020 and it was no way to get there, airports , train stations, vaporetos, every thing was close. we have to beg them to get the refund . they told as that they were open , obviously we couldn't be there and they didn't give as the refund

Couldn’t stay in this hotel cause water heater wasn’t working, but the clerk had another hotel ready for us and it was great, beautiful, contemporary, great location and super breakfast. Highly recommended Casa Martini Hotel.

We actually didn't stay here because of an issue with the boiler, but the staff was very friendly and put us up in their sister hotel which was very nice, though a bit more of a trek from the train station than we would have liked.

Pleasant stay
Very close to Santa Lucia train station , restaurants and they have the best warm croissaints for breakfast , just recommend that they change their carpet on the stairs , has stains and some smell already

The stay was comfortable with family. Close to the train station. Everything close by. No elevator so be prepared to climb the stairs with your luggage. No soap provided in the bathrooms. They want you to use soap from the hand dispenser located on the sink area for bathing too.

Hotel was very close to the train station and the water bus station. Room was spacious considering the area,but the shower was miniscule (which is true of most Italian B&Bs), which is not a dealbreaker for me. Breakfast, although basic, is appreciated.

Great stay
It was a great place to stay in Venice, very close to S. Lucia train station as well as the water bus station (Ferrovia), hence very convenient. There is a luggage storage area although there is no surveillance. As stated in the description, there is no elevator (this is ok for us because we did not have many luggages too). The room is very spacious, with air-conditioner which is great during the hot summer in Venice. The only thing that we slightly dislike was the breakfast, limited choice with only croissant and cereal.

Property convenient for a short stay. Easy in and out. Having enough beds for 4 people was fantastic! Breakfast good. Great air conditioning. Large shower for Europe. Large towels. Shower head not user friendly. No shampoo or soap. Bed VERY hard.

Hotel is walking distance to station and all the sightseeing places! The overall look of the hotel is not impressive however they let us drop our luggage and stored the luggage after check out! The room is clean and spacious! Breakfast fast is decent

Good value for money 2* hotel and good location
Good value for money for a 2* hotel. I stayed in a double room (two singles pushed together with double bed sheets) en suite (private bathroom), aircon and continental breakfast. Staff were nice and friendly. Good location near to the train station, vaporettos (water busses - all routes which will take you anywhere you want to go) and restaurants. For those who like to walk it's a 25-30 min walk to Piazza San Marco (St. Mark's Square), which can be made into a day's walk with all the attractions and museums on route.

Good place to land. Location was great, close to train station. We didn't hear any train noise. Breakfast was good. Hotel was clean. Employees very helpful. AC was divine. It was a bit musty, but I think every hotel in Venice probably has problems with humidity.
