We stayed here for 4 nights and we had a great experience. It is centrally located but not in the middle of the tourist crowds. The Grand Canal is a short walk and Piazza San Marco is a 15 min walk. The area is somewhat residential so we saw kids going to school, locals stopping at one of the two cafes on either side of the hotel and out walking their dogs. The B &B is clean, had daily housekeeping and our room was spacious. The breakfast was somewhat basic but met our needs. The staff was friendly and helpful. We booked this because of the rooftop terrace and it did not disappoint! The directions from the water bus were spot on, but arriving in the dark made it a bit difficult to notice as there is only a small sign indicating a lodging location. Reception is actually in a hotel right around the corner which we did not know. But when we pressed the door buzzer, we were granted entry and Rosa came right over to show us to our room. It was a fabulous place to stay and we would not hesitate to stay there again!

Photos don’t do it justice, beautiful property, friendly staff. Lots of stairs and no lift from what we could see, so be aware you will have to carry your luggage to the top, but worth it for the view. Rooftop terrace was very peaceful. Great location, would stay here again. 😄

Amazing Property & rooms
What an amazing property with amazing rooms, fabulous breakfast & a lovely roof top terrace complete with a welcome drink (chilled bottle of Prosecco) perfect for drinking on the roof terrace. Lovely lounge and one of the best continental breakfast I have had.

A most convenient location. Only drawback was that our room was up 63 stairs, and there’s no lift … but the staff at the associated Hotel Locanda Florita (where you check in, round the corner) were available to carry bags.

Very disappointed. No sign to identify property. No stairs. Our room was on the third floor and it took us 2 hours to get our bags to the room. There was no Prosecco as promised. It was dry brut. Staff very nice however and even arranged that we share a taxi with another couple back to the airport and prepared a quick breakfast. Very very expensive clearly not worth it. Very disappointed.

Dear Guest We are surprised and disappointed at your review which is at best misleading and at worst disingenuous. It si quite clearly stated on the booking form that check in is at 2.00pm and we did everything to have the room ready by 12.00 ! Furthermore it is also clearly stated that the rooms are over three floors and there is no elevator. The building dates from 1550 so it is impossible to install a lift. You say there was no Prosecco in the fridge, this is not true. The staff checked and the fridge was full of our delicious DOCG Prosecco ! My staff spoke with you and your said you wanted a sweet Prosecco, it doesn't exist ! There is Dry, Bruy or extra dry. If you take time to read the wonderful reviews on this and other sites you will realise we are an abidingly popular boutique guesthouse with many return sophisticated and educated guests. For those looking for a more commercial hotel in Venice there are many ubiquitous chain hotels

Great hotel, but NO ELEVATOR.
Lovely room, very nice staff, great location, beautiful views from the rooftop... but no elevator and the rooms are all on the 4th floor. Many many steps.

Boom for the Bloom
The best address for those in the know in Venice. Truly fabulous for repeat Venice tourism, when you know that being in a real neighborhood and close to a major vaporetto stop is the key (and not being too close to Ferrovia or San Marco and all the crazy crowds). Lovely Management, breakfast service and oh that terrace. Grazie!

Great Stay
We really liked staying here. The rooftop terrace with Prosecco is such a nice touch. It provides a quiet outdoor space away from the hassle of restaurants and crowds. The staff were all helpful and kind.

The location is excellent. The amenities are sadly lacking for a hotel charging so much. No tissues, bottled water, minimum soap and shampoo. Also, we had to climb 65 steps with our luggage to our floor level. The breakfast was only adequate. They need to up their game, or charge less.

Dear Guest We are delighted you appreciated our perfect location in Venice. In each room, each day we leave two bottle of sparkling and two bottles of still water for which there is no charge. A complete set of Fragonard shampoo, soaps, conditioners etc etc are in the bathroom and are replaced daily. The breakfast comprises of a rich buffet, including freshly baked breads ( two types), freshly baked croissants, muffins and doughnuts. There are various hams, cheeses, boiled eggs, cereals, fruit juices, and fresh fruit. In addition we offer the full range of coffees, teas, infusions and hot chocolate. There are also various types of milk and we cater to guests who may have particular dietry needs. Our reception staff are always on hand to help with suitcases at check in and check out. The proprietor was very friendly and very knowledgeable about Venice. The room was beautiful and had a bath which is a rare treat in Venice. The rooftop deck is lovely and very relaxing after a day spent sight seeing. Breakfast is continental style but very generous in its choices.

Loved the location and the bottle of Prosecco - although we didn't finish ours so went out for supper and returned to find that someone else did later that night! Very difficult to find - name is tiny on the door so need to be aware it is next to the pharmacy. Breakfast lovely, roof terrace great, room has everything you need but the shower was a little excitable and found a gap in the shower screen which meant a wet floor each time but all in all an excellent place to stay which we would highly recommend.

The theme room and location of the property are great! Service staff and breakfast are lovely too. Like the sky terrace in the evening with champagne in hand. The down side is here will be there is no lift access, given with the old city in my opinion.

Magical stay for wedding anniversary
We stayed here for three nights to celebrate our 10 years wedding anniversary. From the moment we were shown our room by a man who’s seems to be the manager/owner we felt very welcome. Our room was on the top floor, beautifully decorated and clean. The on-suite bathroom was also very nicely decorated with everything needed. Good storage for clothes and belongings. The roof top was magical with a beautiful view. The complimentary Prosecco fridge was a very nice touch. The breakfast was good and we were well looked after by the girls who always greeted us with a smile and a hello when ever we bumped in to them. Unfortunately our aircon didn’t work throughout our stay and it was VERY hot. When mentioning it to staff we were immediately offered another room and was told we could leave our belongings in our old room. However we opted to stay in our room on the top floor as it had an on suite bathroom. So we were given a table fan straight away. We had such a great time and can’t recommend this place enough. It was near to everything! THANK you so much for making our stay more than we could possibly have hoped for. We def will be back. Frida & Nick

Amazing property! Perfectly situated within easy walking distance to all the main sights. We really enjoyed our stay at Bloom B&B. Perfect location being only a 10 minute walk away from the main sights. The room was perfect for myself, husband and 12 year old son. It was on the third floor and there are a lot of stairs. We had read mixed reviews on this but we really didn't find it to be a problem. There are also lots of reviews that indicate the difficulty in finding the hotel reception. It isn't obvious but it is literally just around the corner set back behind the property so we did find it ok. The balcony was lovely and the Prosecco fridge with free Prosecco was a great added touch. We went back to Bloom one lunch time and ate it up on the balcony with some Prosecco. Evenings up there were lovely too to finish off the evening after a nice meal out. Because it was so central, it was a great base and handy to be able to nip back to our room before venturing out again to explore. Only saw the reception staff a couple of times when we needed to confirm our water taxi arrangements and they were very helpful. Staff serving drinks at breakfast were also lovely. We particularly liked that it was a small and intimate place instead of a busy larger hotel or B&B. It was quieter and I loved the church bells opposite in the morning. There was a mini market just around the corner which we found handy to grab drinks and snacks and there were so many restaurants to go to eat just a few minutes away. We would definitely recommend!

Had a nice rooftop terrace for relaxing. The ac was not working as it was not the hot enough season for that yet so we tried to sleep with the windows open to help cool the room off. Problem with that is we had mosquitoes cone in the room through the windows snd the adjoining house had a loud music bday party till 1am so it was a noisy hot night with mosquitoes for our stay

We checked in after a two-sector night flight at 11:30 hours and very tired . The receptionist didn’t bother to ask how the flight went but rudely said that the check-In time is 14:30 hours and that you can leave your baggage here. Later on I found out that he was the owner of the setup and there were rooms available as it was a slack season.

Fantastic place to base yourself in Venice. From the location, plentiful breakfast, unlimited prosecco on the top terrace, friendly hotel staff and cleaners it was simply unbeatable value. Special mention for the English guy (forgotten name) on reception who lent us an adapter and showed us the way to the nearest water taxi port for a graceful exit.

Really enjoyed our stay at Bloom, great location within a 10 minute walk of St Marks square, dependent on the amount of tourists, fantastic roof terrace with views over the tops of Venice, complimentary bottle of Prosecco is a nice touch, breakfast had a good choice of breads, pastries,meats,cheese, fruit, yogurts, coffee. room was warm, very tastefully decorated with a good size bathroom, no pressure to vacate and able to store our cases at reception, would highly recommend.
