“We're so pleased we chose this hotel”

We found this hotel first rate. The rooms were very modern and clean. The breakfast was excellent and so was the service. When requested a kettle was brought to the room with tea/coffee, which was welcomed after returning from walking so much around the city. It was lovely to be just a few stops on the vaporetta from the centre of Venice, with the hotel in a quite location and views of trees, gardens and a canal from the room. The Sant Elena is a fantastic hotel. Excellent rooms, service and location. Also the walk to/from the hotel to the centre of Venice along the waterfront during the evening is superb.

lovely place to stay - the hotel is within easy walking distance or a couple of stops on the vaparetto to the hustle and bustle of the centre of venice but in a peacful and sleepy area! The rooms are lovely and airy and the staff are very helpful.

i spent there 5 nights including new year. the hotel is in a residential and quite area, san marco is too touristic and packed. my son had space to play in the park outside and, we could walk. if you want to go to san marco by water boat, it takes you no more than 10 minutes from the hotel to san marco. hotels in san marco are tiny and extremely expensive. sant'elena offered good price for value. i would definetely go back and recommend it to people.

Please do not get the Water Taxi from the Airport the bus is very cheap and takes less time. You have plenty of time to experience the Water Buses.

“Fantastic Hotel”

The hotel was, admittedly, away from the hustle and bustle of St Mark's Square, but to be honest, this was a fantastic thing. It didn't take us long to walk to the sights, and we had a haven to return to after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel itself was lovely, in a very quiet residential area, and a 2 minute walk from the waterbus stop at Sant Elena. The only negative was that the hotel restaurant was shut, but even that wasn't the worst thing since we were planning on going out for meals anyway.

“Quiet Venice”

This must be one of the best placed hotels in Venice. Away from the hubbub and very quiet surroundings. Easy to get to the local boat stop (100 metres) but only two stops to St Mark's square. Very clean, warm and comfortable with excellent sevice by staff. Always willing to help with any enquiry.Good chef for dinner with impressive meal. Would recommend this hotel for any stay in Venice.

“Very impressed”

The rather austere outside doesn't do justice to this very impressive hotel, with views over Lido and only 20 minutes easy walk to Piazza San Marco. The water bus stop is only 2/3 minutes walk away. The only downside is the lack of nice restaurants or bars in the immediate area (you have to go nearer the centre) but the hotel restaurant is very good. On the plus side, it is a very quiet and peaceful area. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.

Great location for Venice,nothing too much trouble for the staff, a breakfast to die for, sets you up for the day.Would be back tommorow if we had the chance. everything a hotel should be
