Absolute delight! The staff was the best in Holland and my room (without windows) was exceptionally well done! I thought it might be weird, but it was not at all. Quiet, clean, roomy, comfy bed, right on a canal, with winderful and interesting lighting including a ceiling portal that shone the sun in my room. I will definitely be back to this hotel!

They kept money owed to me!!
We enjoyed the closeness to the city Center and the size and cleanliness of the room. I was very disappointed however when they overcharged me for the room, which I paid by Visa, and then they said they would refund the over charged amount the next day. They said, the morning we were leaving, that they would have to refund it when their manager arrived that day. We came back to Canada the following day and I have now received an email saying they can’t refund ti Visa! I find this to be very fishy and am very upset with the way this has been handled.

The hotel is in a great location, close to a good choice of restaurants, bars and shops. We had a good sized room on the ground floor, and were not disturbed by any unnecessary noise. Professional and friendly staff. Nearby garage for parking where we were also able to charge our electric car.

Got double charged during check in. The staff member who made the mistake took out credit card details for a refund but didn't seem particularly apologetic, more like we were inconveniencing her. Two days later the amount was booked of, but there was no refund. Asked again and were told that the refund couldn't be made to the card but would be via bank transfer. Something no one thought important enough to tell us. Two days later, still no refund. Asked again during check out and requested a confirmation. As it was sunday we were assured the refund would be made and confirmation sent on monday. No refund on monday, sent another message. Got reply that refund was made tuesday. The room was small, especially the bathroom. The shower didn't have a door, only a half wall, so it was impossible to take a shower without flooding the bathroom and even getting some water in the main room. The walls are paper thin. We could hear every one going past our room or up and down the stairs as if they were in the room, as well as every phone call in the room next to us. Room was clean enough, but housekeeping was inconsistent. One day we only got hand towels, another day the coffee wasn't restocked. All in all a frustrating stay.

Room from hell
This was the worst room we have ever had: extremely dark and no windows felt lik being in a jail cell; most amenities were empty; bed was moving in all directions and sheets did not fit so that everything was always in disarray; furniture was minimal and did not allow for suitcases to be managed; lighting was totally inadequate. We absolutely hated the room in every way.

Luckily we have about 7 different room types, varying from Junior Suites all the way to the Focus room you have stayed in yourself. Our reception team is always happy to relocate you to a different room, and offer free upgrades wherever we can. The Focus rooms are great for people travelling for a short time, and need a place sleep in this busy city. If you are travelling with a lot of luggage, we recommend booking a King room, or leaving your luggage in our luggage storage. Boutique hotel. Nice setting on a small street facing a park area and the Singel canal. Small front, but lots of rooms once inside. Small foyer, which also doubles as a breakfast area. The rooms are in good condition with attention to design, but there is minimal space to put your stuff, both in the bedroom and bathroom. The room photos were taken with a wide-angle lens, so rooms are smaller than they appear. There is no elevator, and there are 2 floors above the ground floor, so be sure you can navigate steep stairs with your luggage if you are not on the ground floor. This is a "lodge", so there are interesting beams running along the walls, sloped ceilings and even floors, with head and foot hazards. Only some of the rooms have actual windows. Some have windows so high up on the walls you can't see out; they only let light in. Some rooms have no windows, only a skylight. A nice touch: these have blinds. The room layouts are somewhat peculiar. In one small room, the reading lamp was on the floor. No desk, only a small table. No fridge. In a larger room on the ground floor, the small fridge is on the floor rather than on a table of its own. In that room, the shower is tucked in the corner, but faces the bedroom. There is no shower curtain, so zero privacy. The washbasin is in the room. There is a huge window that faces the street, but people walk by on the sidewalk all the time, so you can't really leave the blinds open.

We try our best to be really up front about our hotel rooms and faciltities, which is actually why we do NOT have pictures with a wide-angle lens. Our Focus rooms are designed for an overnight stay, for a short trip like a city- or business trip. Therefore we do not offer a lot of space for additional luggage. We also have some beautiful Junior Suites and King rooms available for those who need some extra space and storage. Our City View Room has an ensuite bathroom, as stated online. The blinds in the room can be opened in a way so people can't look in from the outside. Next time, call us when you make a booking. We will make sure to find you a room that best serves your needs. Leuk klein schalig hotel. Erg schoon. Kamer was erg mooi en rook heerlijk. Ook het ontbijt was goed, lekkere croissantjes met gekookt eitje. Helaas waren we vroeg wakker vanwege zonlicht. De kamer had geen ramen maar een solar tube. Die kon dicht gedaan worden. En die was ook dicht maar toch kwam er licht. Alsof het een Philips wakeup light was.

Ik vond het verblijf heel fijn, het personeel was echt heel erg vriendelijk. Hotel zit 5 minuutjes lopen van de bus dus heel makkelijk om met de bus naar het centrum te gaan. De kamer was ook erg mooi! Al met al een fijne overnachting gehad!

Mooi hotel in het centrum. Kamer aan de voorzijde heeft wel lawaai van de voordeur van de buren. Verder vreemd dat de douche open is met zicht op straat. Luxaflex moet daardoor altijd dicht als je in de kamer bent.

Heel fijn hotel! Met 3 collegas de familiekamer geboekt met 2 badkamers en dit was ideaal. Kamer zag er schoon en netjes uit. Heel vriendelijk geholpen bij de receptie em alles zag er top uit. Lopend ben je zo in het centrum.

De ligging van deze accommodatie was top. Je loopt zo het centrum in. De accommodatie zelf oogt in eerste instantie keurig. Echter de badkamer rook wat muf als gevolg van vocht. Dit vochtprobleem was ook in de hoeken van de badkamer terug te zien in de vorm van schimmel. Verder was de kamer erg gehorig vanuit de gang. Ook zat de trap naar de volgende verdieping aan onze kamer waardoor je alles hoorde. Voor 1 nachtje te doen maar langer zou ik hier niet willen verblijven

The accommodation was quite comfortable due to the room was spacious, the light control was complete, it was incredible. In addition, it very well located since everything is quite close on foot.
