"This is the best hotel in Trincomalee. The staff are the loveliest, kindest staff, and they made our time there feel like home. The food is a choice of traditional Sri Lankan food as well as European/US, but they even made us egg hoppers on request.... Its that we're not on the menu. So I cannot praise them highly enough. "The location is beautiful with its own beach where you can relax. The breakfast is really tasty and fresh. Our room was ok but you could hear the surroundings a lot. Please note that Hotels.com description is a bit misleading as there is no Wifi in the room (weak at the reception) and no daily housekeeping. If you really just want to relax it's the right place to go. The owner is helpful and kind. The cute dogs are a big bonus!"

"I stopped here for two nights when in Trincomalee. The hotel is within walking distance to the bus station and also a local beach with very few tourists and small market areas, though it is around 6km away from the more lively Uppaveli beach. The basic triple room that I was initially booked in wasn’t very good at all, with stained bedsheets and a dirty bathroom. I asked to be upgraded and, after a small argument, the manager kindly put me in the next class above, which was far better.. Would...

"The owner is extremely nice, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately he wasn't in when I arrived. I got to the gate and a man greeted me. "I have a reservation," I explained, and he scoffed and said, "No you don't." He wouldn't let me in until I showed him on my phone! Once he did he immediately left me without a word with a lady who didn't speak a word of English, who got confused and put me in the wrong room, then knocked ten minutes later after I'd unpacked and moved me into a different room...

"Stayed here for 2 nights with family plus our private driver as part of a whistle-stop tour of Sri Lanka. Our first impressions were quite bad. Hotels in Sri Lanka routinely provide/arrange accommodation for drivers (either for a price or sometimes for free). Jacob made it seem like drivers are not worthy of staying in the vicinity of guests as they "disturb the look of the hotel and the other guests". In fact, as we were unloading bags, he straight up asked our driver where he would be staying...

"L'hotel est bien situé, à 2 pas des restaurants et de la plage et la petite terrasse est agréable. Cependant il y avait une très forte odeur d'égouts dans notre chambre et l'hotelier nous a demandé de payer l'équivalent de 12 € supplémentaire par nuit pour avoir la clim dans la chambre ! Le Wifi ne marche quasiment pas. En bref je pense que vous pouvez trouver beaucoup mieux à Upuveli."

"How can i give my ideas even they have not reserve a room for me. But i have paid fully through my credit card to Expdia for Blue Ocen Hotel Tirncomalee. Pls don't do like this to others. Even they could have informed if they have cancelled my room reservation. I will take necessary action regarding this matter"
