The free breakfast in the morning is delicious! Theres so much variety...honestly its such a huge plus. The staff at this location are very friendly and helpful. Service is top notch. Laundry is cheap and efficient (watch out for the dryer though, it does dry your clothes in very high heat). Rooms are a bit smaller than expected, but good enough for a short stay.

Unfortunately, I have to say that the breakfast was quite below average, then, the coffee and many of the food items ran out before the breakfast time was scheduled to end. The staff was attentive but they had substandard materials and too little product to work with. Offering a free breakfast sounds like a nice perk, and it would be if it didn’t leave a bad taste in your mouth.

The hotel is walking distance from Toyama station and surrounded by rent a car companies and shopping areas free drinks were good but in other hotels that I have stayed we got snacks. Breakfast was good but need more variety if you are staying for several days. Same offerings.

Good Hotel with some disadvantages
Hotel was not that near station, maybe 5 or 6min walk. I got caught in rain as there were no shelters. Biggest discomfort was the thin pillow provided, had a bad night sleep. Hotel provided good complimentary breakfast. 2nd return had a double room. Very spacious by Japn standard. Clean and easy access.

We stayed one night in this property as we were transiting through Toyama. The hotel is very close to the JR station. We found breakfast at our designated time a bit crowded.

Comfortable and convenient
Nearly perfect for my needs. I frequently use Comfort Hotels in Japan, and they are very consistent in convenience and comfort. The only slight negative was that I thought breakfast could have been better. At 7.30am all 3 fruit smoothies were no longer available and there was no attempt to refill.

Booking this hotel was my first Hotels.com experience, and that part was great. But after I saw the room I almost left my already-paid-for booking to find a new hotel, because the room was filthy. There were so many stains on the carpet that it looked like a pattern, and the hard surfaces (furniture, light switch) had fingerprints and other residues. I wiped everything down with sanitizer wipes, but still.... made me wonder about other sanitation. In mid October the central heat was already on and the room was very stuffy; turns out the only way to regulate the temperature was to get the staff to unlock the window -- which made the room very noisy at night, as hotel is across from the train station. I travel a lot in Japan and often stay in business hotels (Tolyoko Inn, Dormy Inn) and have never encountered any hotel room as filthy as this.

The location was great. Just 5 minutes walk from Toyama Station. Very convenient. Breakfast was included. However my 14 year old kid was considered Child when I booked with Expedia but when I checked in, the hotel policy was 14 year old was considered adult. It was only when I showed hem the Expedia booking process that 0-17 years is under child that they allowed.

Close to railway station. Room was of a decent size and comes with an adequate breakfast to start your day. Do not understand any of the complaints when Comfort hotels in the US provide only the most basic breakfast and no where comparable. Highly recommended for the price and what you get!

We stayed at the Comfort Hotel Toyama for 2 nights and we found the hotel to be very conveniently located close to Toyama station and with plenty of restaurants and Izakaya in the surrounding area. The hotel was clean and the staff were great and very helpful. The breakfast was a typical Japanese buffet and was ok without being great. We certainly were able to eat enough to fill us for the morning. Really my only down side for the hotel was the size of the room. Of course most Japanese hotels have small rooms unless they are a global chain (and even some of them have small rooms as well). So I guess I cannot complain too much but this room was very small and we couldn't even open both suitcases fully. Apart from this small issue I have no other concerns with this hotel and would stay here again.

A prefect choice on low price hotel
Very best location, just few minutes walking to the JR and train stations; car rental companies and many restaurants nearby the hotel. Room size and cleanness were acceptable. Breakfast included and complementary drinks (tea/coffee/orange juice) offered from 3-4pm to mid-night. A prefect choice on low price hotel.

Cosy stay
Enjoy the stay at the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is just a few minutes away from theach Toyama JR train station. Very convenience if you are traveling to the alpine route.

Our stay was comfortable. The room was tiny, but this was made up for by the kindness of the staff, laundry facilities, free breakfast and complimentary drinks service. The bathroom was clean and well equipped.

Extremely helpful staff in helping arranging baggage delivery from Toyama to Shinaomachi. We faced some obstacles because one of the transportations from Tateyama to Shinanomachi was terminated. The hotel staff efficiently responsed to it and stopped the baggage delivery so that we could come back to the hotel to get the baggage after the Tateyama day trip. The breakfast venue's opening time was 6:30, but it opened earlier than that to facilitate travellers to have breakfast before going to Tateyama. Appreciate it!

This hotel is located just opposite the JR station which is fantastic as it is only about a 3 minute walk. We only used this hotel for a quick stop arriving late in the evening and left early the next morning for the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. Just a note if you are doing the Alpine Route the train leaves from Dentetsu Toyama station not the JR station. This station is about an extra 5 minute walk from the JR station. The hotel was clean and convenient although we found the bedding could have been better. There are several restaurants located within a 10 minute walk and overall the hotel was fine for our needs.

Location just diagonally opposite the train station and about 5 minutes walk if you go by the South exit. The room was big compared to other hotels in Japan. We could open up 2 luggage and there are still walking spaces. Wide variety available for breakfast and they provide complimentary drinks (tea, coffee, orange juice) until midnight. Staff at the reception speaks good English as well! The wifi network was also strong in the room so we have no problem making VoIP calls.

The breakfast is good considerating the room rate. There is complimentary coffee/drinks throughout the day too. One thing the hotel can improve is to have more staff at the reception counter who can speak in English.

Fantastic Location (facing JR station)
Most pleasant location, great bed, spacious room for me, yummy breakfast with choice of breads, cereals, eggs and most importantly coffees. Wifi signal is very strong. Facing the JR Toyama station (on your right hand side when you come out of the station). A great choice for comfort hotel - must stay again.

I was very pleased with the hotel. I needed it for a quick stopover between Kanazawa (scientific conference) and Tokyo as a gateway to the Japanese Alps. The room was fair sized, larger than in many other Japanese hotels. Close to the RR station and good restaurants it gave me all I needed. The price was just right. Highly recommended.
