I paid just over $200 for Tijuana...heard it was 5 star. Maybe 2.5 stars. I switched rooms 3 times.
# 1 was on 1st floor with a view of an empty swimming pool not golf course
# 2 the Ac didnt work. It took a worker and a manager who disagreed with me to switch me. This time I got to be on the 9th floor with an awesome view of the city. The pillows were so awesome and I got a suite which the bellhop that walked me up forgot to show me. The TV in both rooms of the suite only played Marriott commercials altho it said YouTube was free and my streaming channels were also supposed to work but none did. The Ac did work on the 9th floor room!
What I absolutely hated about all 3 Rooms...I like to walk barefoot and all floors were grungy. I wore socks and they were so nasty they became garbage. 1 other thing is so many employees not really doing anything in the lobby, but u come in they practically grab your bag although I said no. Perhaps probably them trying to offer good customer service but it's the opposite. I would know after 25 years as server and bartender in Alaska on a skeleton crew the majority of the time. Marriott is like being in a car dealership that is run on commission only! It's a big turn off. Then you feel obligated to tip which I did and a good amount I may add but service is not the best honestly. I will not stay there again. Worst $200 I ever spent for a golf view. They tried to make it right only after I had to complain so much. Just not worth the hassle.
