TERRIBLE experience. Do NOT stay here. The host was completely non responsive on our attempts to contact the property to make arrangements for a late check in (at 8:40pm). We called two phones numbers provided and emailed and zero response. We had to contact Expedia to get a response. When we finally did get checked in the staff onsite was cold and curt.
The room was dusty under bed, in bathroom, and the fan in room was covered with dust.
The property inaccurately described its amenities on Expedia including and most importantly the parking. It is neither free or onsite as advertised. You have to park in a municipal lot that is a 10-15 minute walk away and costs quite a bit.
Check out was at 10:30 am not 11:00am as described.
Breakfast was served at 8:30 and when we got there at 8:30 there was no coffee or milk and the staff wouldn’t get more.
The area was also noisy at night with partying and in the early morning with workers outside.
Horrible experience overall. I would not recommend staying here.

There is an obligation to clarify what happened:One day before arrival, our guest asked us to cancel his reservation free of charge due to a change of plan, which we could not do as it had already been paid for. He should have canceled and we would have subsequently accepted the cancellation. The staff is in the structure from 7.30 to 12.00 am and from 3.30 to 8.30 pm, but we usually make arrangements for arrivals outside these hours, our guest, contrary to what was stated, showed up at the structure at 9.40pm he contacted us by telephone and we handed over the room to him. He made no exception and in the morning he had breakfast and left the property at 10 am, except then to write this horrible and false review which we do not comment on as it is in fact denied by the countless reviews on our page.It is clear that this review was dictated exclusively by the bad faith of our guest whose aim was exclusively to discredit us, not having been able to cancel his reservation for free due to his misunderstanding regarding the cancellation method of the reservation. itself.Ignazio

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The location is perfect the rest i didn’t like it.
There was no parking near this B&B. We parked in a parking garage near the waterfront at the entrance to the island of Ortega for 15 euro/day. It was about a 15-20 minute walk to the B&B and is worth the walk d/t it’s central location. We also did not have breakfast on site but were given coupons for a nearby cafe. This happened to us a couple of times this trip & we are wondering if it is because November is slower season & it is easier for the host to give out coupons in lieu of preparing breakfast? Despite the lack of parking & lack of on site breakfast we would still recommend this B&B d/t it’s central location on Ortega & beautiful courtyard. Also, the elderly lady that was our host during our stay was a sweetheart even though we couldn’t understand a word either of us spoke:)
The girls who ran it were wonderful and caring. It’s quite complicated getting your luggage into the b&b as it’s on a no car street, but if you carefully follow the instructions and use gps it work - IF you’re at least two. I can’t see how a single person arriving by car would manage with anything but a small bag. Parking is 800 meters away!!!
We had a good experience, the staff was nice and helpful, especially Andrea, who gave us a lot of good suggestions. Breakfast was good as well. There is no parking provided- you have to park at the public parking (€20/day) which is 15-20 minutes walk from the place.
15th century building of historical signficance, now a B&B. Friendly, courteous staff. Good sized, comfortable room with small balcony overlooking pedestrian street Via Roma.
The hotel room, which was in a historic building, on one of the main streets in Ortiga, was of a good size with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The hotel is excellently positioned in Ortiga with many fabulous restaurants within walking distance and the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
The sisters who run this casa are so helpful and kind. One of them actually met us in our car when we were lost, helped us park and drove us and our luggage to the Casa d’Aleri. The furnishings are beautiful, the rooms clean, the bed linens lovely. The location is ideal for site seeing, shopping and eating.Breakfast on the terrace is divine!
The location was traffic .The stuff were very helpful with information .Two Amazon women help with luggage.
The breakfast was wonderful .Wished I stayed longer
It can be hard to find but use the house numbers and realize they are out of sync across the street. An absolutely beautiful B&B with wonderfully kind staff. I look forward to returning someday.
Didn't like that room was on the third floor with no elevator.

Good evening Mrs.,in ortigia you will hardly find an elevator in a period building that is b and b, in any case I think you have the wrong place to write the review.because we are in the foreground.Sincerely
The bnb is charming and the owner was very kind and helpful. The parking was far and not convenient. The location of the bnb is great with lots of shops and restaurants.
The hostess is charming, friendly and helpful. The B&B is in an excellent location within easy walking distance of sights and restaurants. The breakfast is fresh and delicious, and although the room is not fancy, it is clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. I recommend this as the place to stay in Syracuse.

The location is great. We did have some problems with our room and the staff moved us to another room. They were very caring and responsive, although communication was difficult due to our poor Italian.

Great spot right in the heart of historic Siracusa. Rooms are small but charming, and there is separate sitting rooms and balconies. Close to everything. Staff were terrific.
The location was ideal...just steps away from the main Piazza and walking distance of all of the sights on Ortigia. The staff-especially the gentleman working in the evening - were exceptionally helpful. One thing to note if traveling with older or disabled guests...there are quite a few stairs from the street to the B&B (no elevator).
This is a nice B&B. We spent three nights here and the room was clean and comfortable. The shower leaked a lot from improper sealing at its base and we felt bad about flooding the bathroom floor everyday, but it was always cleaned up well every morning. That was just a design flaw of the shower stall, not the B&B. The only confusion I had is that the door to the reception is up on the first floor and not marked with the name of the B&B. It is also locked all the time giving the impression that the B&B is closed. There was another door up there that must have been a private residence and we were confused as to which door we should knock on! We finally knocked on the glass door and were welcomed immediately by a lovely young man. I learned that this is how all the B&B's work in Sicily - all doors are locked all the time - which is fine but a sign on the door would be helpful to confused, jet-lagged travelers! The staff were very kind and helpful and the location was perfect!
Nice B&B located in the heart of Ortigia. Nice breakfast and staff. Downside were the barking yippie dogs starting in the morning throughout the day into the evening.
WiFi was spotty.

This is a lovely, traditional pensione in a fantastic location right in the centre of Ortygia. The house has an amazing history and is beautifully furnished. our room was comfortable with good aircon and a lovely modern bathroom and there was a varied buffet breakfast, home prepared. The owners couldn't have been nicer. Would recommend to those looking for something with a bit more character than the average modern hotel.
Charmingly cozy atmosphere, clean, in good condition, nice rooms, good breakfast, and above all, helpful and friendly staff. Good location. Overall great.

Conchitta was a lovely host as was the b&b. A little gem quiet and relaxed in the middle of Ortigia. Perfect room with private bathroom, all clean and very much taking care of everything
